what do you guys think of this cover , im not sure if its real or fake but i kinda like it , hope this game is comeing up this year )

well it may have changed now, but i remember somewhere i read an interview where they said that even tho she would play a major role in the game, she wasnt necessarily the main character. i could be wrong of course.FstBrk342

There was no main character in FFXII. Vaan was just who you ran around with the whole time in cities. Based on who had the biggest role in the game, Ashe could be considered the main. FFXII was about politics and warring nations, unlike most FF's which are about the characters, and their relationships to one another and other NPCs.

Maybe FFXIII will be like FFVI, where the story was about the characters, but there wasn't a main character (not really anyway, Terra was the closest thing).

Question. I have yet to play more then 10 minutes of FF6. Why is it so good? (Personally 4 and 7 are my favs)avataraang1

Best story of any FF, that's really all I feel I should need to say. Kefka, in my opinion, is also a better villain than Sephiroth. If you have access to the game, I would recommend it over anything else at the moment, because 10 minutes means you haven't played the game. If you don't have the game, you can buy Final Fantasy Anthology brand new for about $17 (amazon).

Anyway, apart from Xenogears, it's on par with Final Fantasy Tactics as my second favorite game of all time.

I like the cover but the game is taking too long to come out. At the latest the game should be coming out in Jan of 09 but its looking like it could be winter of 09 for all that matters and thats a whole year and a half away and we have been waiting for them to release this game for like 2 years or so now.odin2019

This game is taking to long to come out and I think SE should hire more programmers or do whatever the hell they have to do to get the game out by the end of this year. There is no excuse for this game taking so long to come out because even after I have played it I will still be saying to myself well what the hell took them so long to release this game because I'm still not seeing things in the game that could possibly lead me to believe that they needed more time to work on the game.

Some of the changes would be like if the game had seasons, multiple endings with several different paths to those endings, each time you take a nap or save when you go to talk to people they all have something different to say and never repeat what they said the day before, people are not in the same places as they were the day before (some people go hunting, so people go to a friends place, so people go to get something to eat, and other stuff) ect.....

square usually never does only one character for the US box art they allways have at least 2 or 3-Jashan-

actually your wrong, just checked FFX, X-2 and XII and they all have a white background and just an image and there all UK versions.

and to the people moaning about how long the game is taking just deal with it, it is SE's first FF on the PS3 so obviously it is going to take a while also every FF game takes an eternity to come out and when they do they tend to be among the best games for the particular system (excluding FF12 didn't feel final fantasyish and the combat sucked imo) so im happy to wait for as long as it takes.

ya i agree i guess all i need to do now is just wait for the game i think its gona be awesome :) ... and about ff12 lol the game was awesome but ya the combat was kinda anoying :P . in total i think the game was good

FFVI also had one incredible scene after another, the opera house, the phantom train, the escape from Figaro, the madness of Kefka, the living painting, and many others. Each character could have gotten their own novel to delve into the complixities of them. The story was tragic and hopeful and inspiring. considering this was an 8-bit title, it really did impress on so many levels.

back on topic, i doubt this is the cover considering how far off the game is. it is nice tho and wouldn't be a bad choice.

That is true but I prefer my game covers to be awesome. I think if a game has an incredible cover it will at least peak an interest in the game with no previous knowledge. The only covers I think that does a decent job is the Shadow of the Colossus cover and the first Kingdom Heart cover. I don't like it when I game I plan to get has a lame cover. I know it doesn't affect the gameplay whatsoever but it would be cool for it to be truly a piece of art. I hated the Jak X cover...as soon as I saw it I was like please don't let that be the cover, cause Daxter looks like a Quiznos rodent.

For the FXIII cover I definitley want the girl on it but doing something with more class than standing there.

Looks cool, but it is probably fake. I am sure I have seen Lightning doing that pose in some screenshots, so it is most likely a photoshop...

Also, I don't think the would have a cover if they don't even have a date.
