Ok, same battle system that I've been playing sinceI was 12, that's good. But I wish that it was more like Crisis Core, I like that battle system better. But other than that this game looks sweet. I love FF.

As far as cutscenes yeah play any of the last 4 FF and its not a real suprise, cutscenes dont bother me, repetitive cutscenes bother me, cue summons from 7-9... As far as the fight engine, play any FF this is just a variation of the fight system, where as I agree, I am growing less fond of the franchise, its still somewhat the same as it has always been. However I have been a fan of the franchise since it came to the states, I played the OG FF when I was just a sprout, and I have played ever since. Its had its ups and downs, I personally liked the older ones, I didnt think 7 was as great as everyone proclaimed, it was a new direction and I think thats what everyone liked the most. Its less desirable titles (FF X-2), my honest favorites are in order, 1, Tactics, 10, 3, 8, 12. But where is the cool stuff, yeah, old, but still 1 will always be the best in my opinion, simple yes, but that what was cool, potion, ether, white and black magic, and swords done deal, slay some monsters, get some gold, buy some stuff. But now days its gone from the good old sword / magic gig, to Phantasy Star garbage. Laser swords...? Laser Guns...? Feels like Star Wars in FF form. And a nga with a bird in his afro.....? C'mon Square..........all I can do is shake my head..\ But I'll probably buy it because its a FF game, probably will just take some adjusting to.fuzzydoodle

I watched it live and it looks good, the graphics look AMAZING! CGI quality, the only thing is i've never actually played a FF game, i've seen them played and many people love it, I liked pokemon so what FF games would you recommend other than FF7...

If you hate the "Pokemon" gameplay thats probably why you don't play FF games. And many peoplefeel the same way and many game makers feel the same way too. Thats probably why there is like 3% RPGs for this generation of consoles. So be happy that the majority of people think the same way you do. As for the rest of us, we will enjoy are hopefullyepic Final Fantasy game that we have been waiting for for a long time. Its just one year away now!

Aren't rpgs suppose to have long cutscenes? I just played an rpg with thirty minute cutscenes and it did not bother me.

It looks awesome but its going to be like every other major Japanese title ... Amazing Character Models and Enemies but dull environmental textures. PS - Thats a 2008 build of the PS3 version of FF13.Nonstop-Madness
