So this is how it is right now for me, I just got a brand new PS3 ( Ditched the Xbox 360 ) and I need your guy's opinion about some games I have in my mind. I got NHL 11 and inFamous in the bundle I bought with the PS3, then I got Gran Tourismo 5 with the wheel. So buying the wheel, Grand Tourismo, and a PS3, already costs a lot of money. But, I always had Final Fantasy 13 in my mind, and then Black Ops recently came out, and I don't know which one to get with the money I have left over. I always been a fan of SQUARE ENIX and played a lot of games they produced. I tried Black Ops with my friend's and I SUCK. Only good FPS game I'm really good at is Counter Strike : Source. So guys, If you had exactly 70$ dollars to spend on FF13 or to spend on Black Ops, a game I suck on, but a lot of my friends play it. What would you choose?

FFXIII should be pretty cheap now, so I'd reckon you could easily afford that, then save up for BO if you wish.

Personally, I'd pick FFXIII regardless, though I am not a fan of the COD franchise.

welcome to the forum :) in your case, Final Fantasy 13 seems to be the better choice since (i presume) you're not a fan of console FPS. i think FF13 is a great game and a worthy sequel to the FF franchise, but it has been severely (and unfairly) criticised for the new directions it takes with its design. if you're not averse to a linear structure and a more action-oriented gameplay, then you should have no problem enjoying FF13. another reason is that FF13 is cheaper, and after spending all those money you should probably cut back your spending abit. but should you be REALLY interested in playing a FPS, we have two fantastic exclusives on PS3 - Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 - both of which are quite cheap at the moment.

I would buy neither and get a some cheaper older games myself. But if I had to pick between those two, FF XIII.

Not a big fan of FFXIII but I'd definitely pick it over Black Ops.

2 completely different games kinda like comparing The Fight vs Halo Reach or something. anyway from what i can tell FFXIII from what you wrote it seems to be more of what your into plus its cheaper than CoD BO which you can wait for a price drop while you play FFXIII which you probably could get alot of hours out of it being a rpg and all.

FF13 is cheap now, like $30. Black Ops is terrible on PS3, why spending $60 for a horrible version?

These 2 games are opposite...lol

FF13, you can get the best quality of it on PS3, and black ops has the worst quality on PS3.

So answer is very clear what to get.

I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan and I honestly don't care for the Call of Duty series. That being said, I would still recommend Black Ops over Final Fantasy 13, it's just that bad.

I hate both games but if I hadto choose then I would say Black Ops. At least that one is enjoyable and won't make you want to tear your ears off playing it. However, Final Fantasy XIII onthe other hand does make a good coaster.

You'll get a lot more gameplay out of FF XIII unless you plan on spending a lot of time online with Black Ops. In the end I think you would be happier with FF.

neither game, you'll give up on both of them: Black ops because lack of story and mulitplayer is brutal to beginners. Final Fantasy's lengthy story tends to drag on at a slow pace.

My thoughts exactly.

Do yourself a favor and buy a PSN card, go to the store and buy FF7 and FF9 if you have never played them. If you did, spend the money in other games.

Alright guys, I tried to take every one your guy's posts count in this post. Some of you guys even took in the thought of buying these two games in my point of view, with my 70$. The majority picked FF13 over PS3 and for that reason, I am picking FF13 over Black Ops. I did watch the reviews that Game Spot did on FF13 and the gameplays. Some of you guys said the FF13's story is a little slow in pace and the story is a little emotional, I actually don't mind that. Like I said I've been a fan of games SQUARE ENIX produced and know what to expect sometimes. On the other hand, Black Ops is mainly about playing on LIVE. I still have Black Ops on my mind, but I'll wait for it to lower in price to fit my budget. I looked at the gameplays of FF7 and FF9, and I'm not a big fan of Tactical Based RPG, unless is it's on my NDS. The graphics also looked like it was played on a NDS. FF13 does a good job not putting Tactical Gameplay the whole game. So guys, thanks for the professional tips and thoughts in your posts,

FFXIII is about 20$ online....Black ops is not lower than 45-50 online... I would go with FFXIII if price is a concern.
