Final Fantasy 13 VS Resident Evil 5

RE5, who wouldnt want to go to Africa and kill....zombies!

Then again. It is FF13...tough choice.

Final Fantasy 13 easily,they've remained exclusive more then sell out Resident Evil, plus RE is starting to look played out and bland, the enemies arent anything like zombies anymore which in my eyes was always a drawing card for the RE series.

i would choose final fantasy 13 easy......but they look like they will both be good games....im really hoping RE5 has a coop campaign man that would be freakin awesome....

RE needs to learn something from 28 days later. RE5 needs to have zombies like those. That would put the "Horror" back in RE. Though i haven't been a big fan of RE since i played the first one when i was like 8 or 9. Scared the crap out of me(that and beating Doom on the PSX).

Now that horror no longer exists in RE games (srsly), it's now turning into a mindless (but fun) shooter.

Easily RE5 for me. I was never into Final Fantasy.

I firmly believe Final Fantasy XIII will bring a new revolution to the jRPG formula moreso than Resident Evil 5 would do anything significant to the Survival Horror genre.

Both look great though, but I am confident to say Final Fantasy XIII will be a true redesign and refreshing breeze to the stagnant japanese role-playing gaming market that has poorly been adopted (and is severely lacking) into this generation of console gaming.

Easy, Resident Evil 5, of course...

I'd be getting both, but It's just that I couldn't care less about FFXIII

I'm not saying FFXII sucks, It's great for FF fans, and I happen not to be one

Those games shouldnt be compared because they're two different games with different gameplay elements so this thread is ....... :|

Resident Evil stopped being Survival Horror on January 11th 2005 :|.

IF and only IF RE5 was what most of us prayed to be ( a original zombie like game like all previous games) then i would easily vote for RE5...

Since its not and reminds me alot of RE4 , an alien/sci-fi parasite shooter FF13 easily for me... Im not saying RE5 wont be good or i wont buy it ot play it but most of you , especially RE veterans like me , understand me 100%

No, none of the Final Fantasy game (with the exception of X-2) have been direct sequels. Most of them aren't even set in the same universe.

Everytime RE is brought up someone has to mention they are not scary anymore. If that huge group of people with weapons isnt intimidating and scary, then I dont know what is. Also, if your idea of horror is bad camera angles or ghosts coming after you with the only way to defend yourself is a camera. I will stay with the reinvented model of RE. If Fatal Frame is scary to you, you need to watch some horror movies. That game is a sleep fest. Take note by the way, there are other scary things in the world of horror other than zombies. Quit being so damn close minded.

Oh and fyi (to anyone) the 28 series doesn't have zombies. They are just rabbid people. They dont even eat anyone. So, please, realise there is not a single zombie in those movies. If you must pick fastzombies, why not use Dawn of the Dead? Then again, I am getting tired of reinvented zombies. They are not nearly as scary as the slow ones.
