Yeah pretty much. 'Course not any game can be played on the PSP or vice versa though. PS1 games can be played on both. But each system still has their own games for downloading as well.So the PSP and the PS3 share the same network basically?

And anything you buy is linked to your account, not the system. So if you buy FFVII on the PS3, you can download it on both systems for no extra cost.
Not sure how much of that you were wondering. lol
vgshine:
"one more question. Does playing ps1 games on the psp require you to own a ps3 or can you download directly to the psp"
No, neither system requires the other. As mentioned before, all ofthe buying process is related exclusively to your account. You can even buy the gamewith your computerusing 'Media Go' and then transfer it to your PSP (good choice since the bigger screen makes it easier to navigate the menus)... or you can buy it directly from the PSP (Using the PS3 is an option, too).
i DL'ed it for my ps3 but after realizing the graphics don't look so good on a 40" full hd tv i started to play it via remote play on psp it's a pretty cool game , woth every penny if you ask me , didnt finished it back in the days when it was new (cause it lagged on my dinosaur pc lol), so now i can catch up
[QUOTE="anbu-black-ops"]more or less around 1gbRocketnumaman is it really around 1gb? That stinks.
Actually, it's closer to 1.2-1.3 gb. FFVIII was around 1.7-1.8 gb, and I'm guessing FFIX is going to be bigger than that.

I see. Guess that means I need to go out and buy a memory stick.Ive wondered about this, do ps1 gamees automatically go to the ps3 and the psp or only the ps3 then you have to transfer to psp? Cause I only have a psp and my cousin has a ps3, and we share an account(well actually only I use it but its in his name)and if it goes to his ps3 then I wont be able to play unless I go to his house and tranfer it, and I hardly ever go to his house
It won't go automatically and you don't need to go to the PS3 to transfer.Ive wondered about this, do ps1 gamees automatically go to the ps3 and the psp or only the ps3 then you have to transfer to psp? You see, once you buy it, it's in your list of downloads. And no matter what system you are using, if you are in the account, just go the store, go to the downloads page and just download it.
And I have memory sticks also, is it possible to transfer files from a different memory stick to another without having to connect your PSP to the computer?Rocketnuma
Technically speaking, yes. You'd have to transfer the files from one stick to the computer, and then from the computer to the other stick. Some computers have an adaptor for the memory sticks, if not you need an adaptor, at which point it would just be easier to connect your PSP to the computer.
