im not really sure either cuz square enix did not show a thing about this game yet not even a trailer but the trailer will be comeing out on march tho , hopefully it will be an awesome game since its final fantasy 13

Active Time Battle is the best battle system ever in FF series, example of ATB battles are FF4, FF6, FF7 , FF8 , FF9 , FFX and FFX2. Talk about classic. Means it'll all go back to turn based style again, thanks god, no more ARPG like gameplay as in Crisis Core.

I liked the battles of Kingdom Hearts. They seemed to be more fluid and less clunky like other ARPGs. I do love turn-based and ATB is my favorite form of it.

You liked 12 the most? Have you even played a Final Fantasy? I mean 12 was horrible compared to the PS1 games.

The battle system in war of the lions is the normal turn based style of a SRPG, which normally splits into player's phase and enemy's phase. But the Active Time Battle ( ATB ) system, brought turn-based rpg to a whole new level, which enemy and character's turn will be decided by the speed of the action bar.

BTW, earlier FF titles with ATB are much better than FF12 itself. Seriously.

I'm not too sure about that but i do hope so. It depends on how Square Enix come up with the storyline and everything. Since storyline is the most important aspect of a RPG , some people , including me, still favours the old FF series for now , because they have solid, memorable storylines, even if it's outdated.

But i'm really looking forward to this new gen FF , especially with Square Enix going back to the classic ATB route. Woooohoooo!

Whats a Final Fantasy without a great story? Thats what 12 was lacking.
