What? WHy? I love FF.... and I own a PS3. With all this talk of exclusiveness and how important it is.. i thought this was newsworthy.

Has anyone noted that this is a SONY rep talking? Not a Square-Enix rep? Not entirely sure how that changes the landscape of the argument, but IMO it means (a) that Square may be looking into the 360, and (b) Sony is fighting to keep them.magus-21

Do you know that DMC 3 sold only 1.5 million copies? do you know how many did DoC sole? 1.2 almost the same. FF is a bigger franchise that can make a game that 90% didnt like sell lots of copies. FF XII sold 2 million in 1 month. They are different things.  DMC 3 was already ported to PC. So it was already not exclusive, but FF havent bee ported to any otehr console (with the eception of XI) since FF VIII and FF VII failures in PC.

Well, its easy. Compare the last DMC game userbase to the worst FF game only in PS 2. They got pretty much similar numbers, but compared to main line FF, its outsold 3-1. Getting FF away will be hard, very hard.

No, this isn't the first time. The first time was when gamecube got FF crystal, the second time was when Xbox360 got FFXI. In case you didn't notice, it didn't say FFXIII's exclusiveness is under consideration.

According to RPGamer.com, they are almost equal. Especially if you are talking about JRPGS not RPGS.

Technically, though rpgamer clearly has more listed for 360. Gamespot may have it differently. This is not entirely accurate since Monster Kingdom is not listed.

360 has a little more according to GS, but again, they are mostly western RPGS while PS3's is not. Personally, I don't understand western RPGS (even though I am one, haha), so the JRPGS are all that matter (like FFXIII, White knight, Shin Megami Tensei).

In any case for being technically accurate, yes, 360 has more so far.

The PS2 was the same way at first. All of the niche titles won't come out till the development process gets easier, and the console is in more hands. They'll start announcing more JRPGS next year.
