I started a Final Fantasy VII file on my PS3 using the first disc, but couldn't continue because I only had the first disc. Now that there is a version to download on PSN I was curious if this digital version would make use of my current file orif I would need to start over.

You would probably have to start over because the PSN FFVII doesn't use the virtual memory cards.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't, I didn't have to make a virtual memory card for the PSN Spyro 2 or FFVII, but I did for my Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2, which is on disc.

hmm, odd that they don't present them to you in the same way.

TC, you can try it, tell me if it works, I really don't know for sure.

I'm 100% certain it does. I'm looking at the virtual memory card right now.

Also, I've used my old FFVII disc saves on the PSN version, so I know that this works.

Well its prolly cause your tony hawk was the first ps1 game you played on a ps3. It creates the memory card then and you don't have to do it again.
