Final Fantasy VIII Disc Version BC Question

Does anyone know if there is still a backwards compatability issue with Disc versions of Final Fantasy VIII? I know I remember reading in the past that this game was buggy or something when trying to play it on PS3. I know I can DL it on PSN but I might be able to get the discs for real cheap.

I couldn't remember if it was a certain model that was having issues with the game or if it was a universal problem. I have the 40GB model so I can't remember if they fixed the problems with the release of that model or not.

I haven't had any problems playing it so far.

I have beaten FFVIII twice on my PS3 and I seriously don't know what areyou people are talking about because I never experienced any freezing or anything. If yours is freezing it's probably because the disc's damaged or something.

I know mine freezes every time I get into a battle in the Fire Cavern. So I bought the PSN version.

i recently bought the greatest hits version of final fantasy viii for 20 brand new sealed, i havent opened it yet, im pretty sure if your ps3ha BCit will run the game fine. i have tried ps2 and ps1 games on my ps3 and it works just fine. i might just use my ps2 to play my psone games now because i think my ps1 is broken
