So after reading and watching a bunch of reviews (X-Play, GS, GI...so on)the one thing I'm getting about Borderlands is that the entire game is playable in Single player, but it's just not as "fun". Or am I missing something.

I'll admit, I have no life, no friends and only a 50 hour a week job, so I only play games for the single player content, so when a game comes out that withholds content from you because you're playing alone, I usually avoid it. But from whatI've heard about BL you can play the whole game alone, it's justnot as "action packed", am I reading this right, or have I missed something?

Any opinions are welcome.

Thanx.

i did most of the game by myself, since me and my friend played at different times, and are lvl didnt match up well, its still fun either way, but having help when fighting a boss is nice tho.

It probably has the Guitar Hero / Rock Band syndrome.

Fun by itself, but incomparable to playing it with some buddies.

I did most of the game myself also, and that is because I was sick of people taking everything and not thinking of the other person. Singleplayer is best for the first playthrough, but the second playthrough I am enjoying online more for some reason

The online doesn't work for me, and I, as well as a lot of other people, still have some of the issues with the in-game friends list that Gearbox claimed they "fixed."

I bought this game on a spur of the moment to play with my friend, and so far, it's been pretty disappointing. The game itself is great, but seriously, there's so many little problems with certain skills not working right and some text not displaying that it all just adds up.

If you can buy it for a different system, then I suggest you do so, because the PS3 version is crap in comparison.

I alos buy games based on there single player content, mainly because I just don't play often enough to be good enough to play online.

I am interested in borderlands but don't really know much about the storyline, which for me is the most improtant thing.

Has anyone been through the full game and if so can they comment on the storyline and whether or not it is any good. Also if there are issues with the game on the PS3, are they game breaking or just little niggles?

I'm going to be honest with you. I didn't play Borderlands for the story. I played it for the action. I am now a level 43 Soldier and on my second playthrough. Yes the game is much better with co-op but single player is definetly do-able. I still have issues with the friends list and during online play there is some lag and mic issues but otherwise it's a very enjoyable game. You willl be pissed off with the ending though. Just saying...

I for one loved playing single and multiplayer this game. The story isnt great but its more about leveling up and shooting up baddies.

Single player is fun and action packed, I've yet to try the multiplayer though.
