What was so bad about it? I see you have a Spiderman icon, but how big a DC fan are you? Theres some good spiderman games too aren't there? Swinging around New York is always pretty fun.

I am a pretty big DC fan though admittedly Marvel is my first and greatest love. When I first got DCU it was great, but it's just the initial high, after logging 40+ hours of beat-em-up, with literally every mission being defeat or collect this number of this I decided to create a new character to test the longevity of the gameplay. I made the character as different from my original as I could. Much to my disappointment the skills of a tech hero and a meta hero are essentially identical in their effects and execution.Aside from the weak mission design, is the fact that the world becomes incredibly boring within the first couple weeks. Scouring the city for investigation clues and the like would be considerably more rewarding had they designed the clues so that one led into the next, but no, they are just randomly placed within a certain zone.
Finally the game is in very shoddy condition. I would often lose half of the sound with either the music or sound effects cutting out. Many times a vendor was completely unresponsive once I was in the shop menu so that I could not repair my gear. The only way to resolve these problems is to log out. I could go on, but what's the point? I'll just say that I feel totally screwed over having bought the game.
Spider-Man is a happier subject! Sadly the only game of his I have played this gen would be Web of Shadows, which was a decidedly average experience, worth a rental though. I really would like to get my hands on Shattered Dimensions, looks like a much better game. Be sure you don't miss Arkham Asylum, as far as I'm concerned that game is the gold standard of comics based games.
