man this is sooo awesome the ps3 is going to get the best update till now! the ability to eject disk out of the main menu, backgrounds, emoticons.... its going to be awesome!!!! anyone agrees?

Because when you eject the disk with the controller you dont have to stand and wait for the game to come out to switch it. It will already be out by the time you get to it. It will save you seconds.

That's what the BD remote is for, I've been having the wife switch disks for me since I puchased the system. Try this next time... " oh honey, could you switch on/off the subwoofer for me too?" It's perfect 'cause either way you win.

The xbox360 can do that too. But anyway, this shows that Sony is stepping into the right direction. I hope firmware 2.0 have in-game XMB though.

now the thing is...which console handsu the disk better?......the 360 hands it 2 a in a tray, very very nice...but the ps3 hands it 2 ya in the air (floating)....so id say both r nice....well, depends how u like to have things handed 2 ya..doesnt it?...XP

Idk how many people are oblivious to this, but music playback in games IS ALREADY implemented in the firmware, its up to the developers to take charge and actually enable the feature in their game...

Really, and how does that make one fat, lazy, and greasy? It has to do with being OCD (not wanting finger prints on your console). It has nothing to do with being lazy considering you still have to get up. And greasy...? If anything, your English is "gross."

You can already eject a disc with the blu ray remote control so I dont know why Sony feel the need to incorporate this. But the costum backround is great.
but dont get me wrong this update is next to the best thing that could of happend for me. Custom backrounds are sweet and trhe eject thing is a pretty cool thing to have even if you don't use it, just to show it off lol.
u know wut wuld be sick...well not that sick, but still....if u accidentally eject the disk, u press a button to make it get back in, if its stuffed inside enough 4 the slotloader to grab it firmly, but i think i made my point clear...XP
the best feature i know rite now is best for the ps3 is the eject dick with a push of a controller button, this will stop some of u who whine so much, hwy does my ps3 get finger prints or all smudgy lol
