HELL YES! FINALLY!
VITA is going to take off like gangbusters after this is released.

Personally I am really happy about this and it would be a great addition to my collection of vita games. I put at least 100 hours into Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on my PSP, mostly crying after the 50th try to beat a monster, but it will not be a let down. I never played the online on my psp so hopefully it will be good too.
Dont really care for the monster hunter games myself, but there are a lot of people who do. Im hoping this will help move some vitas which will lead to other games being developed for it.

This kinda. Never really gave MH a fair try.
Its about time it got released on the Vita, means that I can play Monster Hunter with a few friends who have a PS Vita
Frontier is a Japan-exclusive MonHun game anyway (since it blocks IPs outside the country, importing is out of the question). With MH4 already out, I highly doubt about the chances of this one, being a game already available on PC a couple of years ago. To be fair for the Vita port, they're bringing Frontier G (expansion update) of the game, which was released a few months back.
what is your point exactly? its a monster hunter game. it doesnt matter what version it is, VITA needed it badly.Frontier is a Japan-exclusive MonHun game anyway (since it blocks IPs outside the country, importing is out of the question). While it's reassuring that Capcom gave the Vita a MonHun game, Frontier is not exactly the MonHun game everyone wants. I'm quite certain that fans wanted a MonHun game similar to the PSP's portable series (which made the franchise popular in the first place). So, I think it's a different story if they put in MHP3rd HD instead...
It doesn't really make a difference to the Vita when Frontier G is also available on other consoles + PC. Chances are, folks in Japan already have them (or just buy them on other platforms) and/or they already shifted to Nintendo for the newer games (MH3U/MH4). Not really saying that Frontier G Vita wouldn't sell, but I won't be expecting much. That said, options are nice, but I would rather wait for a true Vita MonHun.
dude, they're in a bad place financially right now. Why wouldn't they milk one of their top games? lolBut is it just me, or Capcom's milking it?Â
It's still Monster Hunter though. That could bring us a proper MonHun title for the Vita.

It's a port of a rubbish 6 year old freemium(need to pay sub to be playable) based MMO that already sold like cr*p in Japan, it's unlikely to leave Japan and Capcom IP blocks their games as standard.

+it's muli-plat so frankly it's going to do nothing for the Vita, to be frank your better off buying the PSP MH game off PSN it's a far better game.
Yeah, this will never leave Japan. It's been out on PC and 360 since 2007, and it's never come out over here, no reason to think they'd change that now.spike6958
Â
Wrong! It's being released late this year or early next year in North America and Europe apparently.

Love to know where you heard this, or are you just full of bull?
Love monster, haven't gotten around to the 3DS one yet still though. Really loved freedom 1, 2 and unite on the psp and tri on the wii, so this should be a great installment with the vita hardware.
[QUOTE="tempura13"]what is your point exactly? its a monster hunter game. it doesnt matter what version it is, VITA needed it badly. His point is unless you live in Japan you will not play this game on a Vita unless they bring it to the US (which is unlikely). Although, I pray they do. >Frontier is a Japan-exclusive MonHun game anyway (since it blocks IPs outside the country, importing is out of the question). The recent installments they brought here sold pretty decent I'm pretty sure and with the upcoming games coming to Vita in the coming months hopefully sales will rise and they'll take notice.
