[QUOTE="kingtito"][QUOTE="KoolEmpty"][QUOTE="kingtito"] [QUOTE="meischris39"]I think we are going to see a shift in people developing for the ps3 and porting downwards as its much easier. I just hope they don't abandon the ps3 because of slower sales.ermacness

Now why would games have to downgraded to port over to the 360? Hmm last time I checked the modified version of the 7800gtx that's in the PS3 was about 3 generations behind the r600 that's in the 360. Downgraded I think not and stop posting like any of you actually know what you're talking when it comes to programming for any of these systems.
I heard they put flames on their GPU so it would go faster though!!!
Why don't children such as this at least make an attempt to understand that there's more to greating a great looking game then the video card? I do however agree with one of your points "stop posting like any of you actually know what you're talking when it comes to programming for any of these systems. "

The GPU is the MAIN reason for todays graphics. The GPU has been and probably always be the most complicated and powerful component to a system. In just about every case the GPU is what decides how great a game looks with the CPU being secondary. So why wouldn't I talk about the GPU and when it comes to graphics.

For the person that said the 360 GPU is "slightly" better ummm try 3 generations better. 7800, 7900, 7950, 8800 and the 360 GPU is a slightly modifed version of the not YET released R600 from ATI code named x2900
they did a graph comparioson, and while i won't say barely, i sure enough wouldn't say a drastic advantage over the ps3, ohh and cpu is just as important as the gpu as physics and how much is going on (depending on the game) all is on the cpu. thank you very much!Â
Â
What comparison are YOU talking about. Don't try and tell me the 7800 in the PS3 is only "slightly" less powerful than the R600 that as of right now is blowing away the 8800.
Oh and what does physics have to do with the graphics and the GPU? You just made my point that when it comes to graphics the GPU is what's more important.
