firmware 1.8 australia???

Hi all, i'm in australia, have been constantly checking for the update to 1.8 for about 24 hrs now, ever since it was first mentioned it was released, it keeps telling me that there is no update available.

was the firmware update only for NTSC ps3? I can download the file of the browser and isntall it manually, but i would really like it if the update button actually worked. any other aussies got the update yet?

I'm downloading from the UK site now, the aus site had a link but had a 'our apologies' message when you went to download it, not uploaded yet or something.

 is the update exactly the same?

 it's pretty frustrating.. but yeah oh well. i would have called sony to hassle them except i cant find a support number anywhere!
