Firmware 4.00 set for December?

There are many rumours going around that 4.00 is out in November with better menus, voice chat (X Game) and a larger Friends List

Is it true!?

erm... 3.01 is allready avaible

3.1 and 3.2 and so on has to come out first 4.00 wont come out until like next year and all that

4.0 would have to be a MASSIVE overhaul to come out so soon. 3.01 was just a very very small update so I think it would go to 3.10 it they do update it.

It still shocks me how much people don't understand the concept of FW. FW updates don't always follow the pattern of 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 etc.. Sony could jump to 4.00 or even 5.00 if they wanted to. The numbers are based on how much information aka (stuff) they are putting into the update therefore they could go from 3.00 to 3.25 if they wanted to, it just depends on what they put in. So yes the next one could be 3.1 or it could be 3.15 or even 3.2 or 3.08.

No thats not true. The psp if I remeber correctly, never actually went in a proper sequence, it just kind of jumped numbers. Like 2.71>3.03 or w/e. And btw, 3.01 is already out :).

They better do that, it should just go down when u scroll on ur friends rather than clicking on it. Sony better do this.
