I thought PS2 remote play would be a feature for the PSP2... are PS2 games even playable? I thought it would be a feature for the PSP2... and the PSP3 would play PS3 games and so on :?
So like basically Playstation Portables are like the Portable versions of the respective console except its like .5? So I'm guessing PSP = PS1.5, PSP2 = PS2.5...
Hopefully, some more Remote Play features *cough*Playing DVDs on PSP using Remote Play*cough* *Hint, hint* *Nudge, nudge*
Can't be any more clear than that.

I agree The browser just doesn't cut they need to find a better way to do that
I'm pretty sure that 4.0 will be skype though, and 5.0 will probably be around the time that the GPS programs start.

exactly, all skype is, is a way to try to add more features that probably don't function very well, they need to fix all the frustrations people have with what's all ready available
Skype is only going to work with the PSP Slim though because the original PSP doesnt have enough RAM.

i want to clarify some things people said
First of all ,Skype, is coming to the psp slim only. Secondly the camera for the psp has been announced for North America for this year and it works for both psp slim and phat. Last but not least a gps navigator has also been scheduled to come out this year for North America but it is not clear if it is for only the psp slim or both. And also they have announced the idea of creating a keyboard which may or may not come out in 2009.

in order to use the mic for the psp slim u must buy the slim earphones in order to get the remote control that comes with it. then u must buy the psp mic and hook it up to your psp through the remote controloh and one more thing, how many people will honestly use skype? hardly any, they should have at least gotten a keyboard out to better communicate with computers first, I think skype is goign to be one of those things thats a cool idea, but just serves little use.maninatrunk77
When I found out Skype was coming to my PSP which I bought last month, I was very very pleased. I use Skype everyday, for my regular calls overseas as well as for all my local calls. I pay 3 bucks a month and that gives me so much more than the regular telephone service provider who chargest 30 a month. With Skype on my PSP, no matter where I go, so long as I have a wifi connection nearby, I'm set to make and receive calls, messages on the go. Of course, it relies on there being an active wireless connection that doesn't charge me to use it, but most universities have wireless access points that are free for their students, and seeing as I'll be spending most of my time at my Uni doing a masters this coming fall, I'll be all set for calls, internet browsing, and the occassional onlines Wipeout session. To Sony: more apps like skype? Bring'em on.

I know it's just a way for Sony to make some extra cash on the side, but I have problems with manufacturors selling me an incomplete product. Who wants to listen to music, or watch movies on those small little speakers (which are outshined by the DS's, might I add). Anyways, don't take away points from me for posting half a sentence about the DS in a PSP thread, that would be real fascist-like.
How old music while playing a game..WSGRandomPerson
that's a software thing. a new firmware won't do that, a game has to incorporate that into it's own settings. sorry.

I agree it is quite lame to not include earbuds while promoting it as a gaming system as well as a media player. as i recall, the original "Value Pack" did come with earbuds.
