First details of Battlefield: Bad Company 2!

Yesterday, I posted that a sequel to Battlefield: Bad Company had just been announced. Well today, the first details are being unveiled.

• Early 2010 release
• The game is going to run on the same Frostbite engine used in Bad Company
• They will emphasize even more on vehicular combat with "a level of fervor to vehicular warfare never before experienced in a modern warfare action game."
• Environments will include jungles, villages and.....SNOWY MOUNTAINS!!!!!
• "More vehicles, more destruction and more team play!"

Yeah, like finally! The only two recent games having snowy levels I remember are Lost Planet and Warhawk.

I hope it looks a bit better. A lil sharper, lil better textures and praps an option to turn off film grain.GenTom

It is ashamed I will be neck deep in Modern Warfare 2 at the time of release. I thought the first one was terrible anyways.

THats stupid.. why would they make a sequel to that crappy BC game... they need to just make Battlefield 3...americahellyeah

BF:BC 2 will be great as i liked the first one alot. but what im really waiting for is Battlefield 1943! its being released on PC, XBL, and PSN using the frostbite engine and will showcase 3 maps from BF 1942. Sad thing though is that its only 24 players and not 64. Its on the IGN homepage in the news ticker.nitsud_19

Yeah, Battlefield is up there in my Top Franchises and I can't believe we'll get to play 2 new Battlefield games in a 6 months period (or so)! I mean DICE is just slowly killing us with love or what?. DICE is probably my favourite developer.

Personally, I think 24 players is alright. Just enough to keep things interesting.

Maybe in the sequel they can improve upon the mindless morons that are the enemy AI.... McMJ3

I think the single campaign is just terrible. Mind you, the online multiplayer overcompensates for it.
