No thanks, I don't take stock in anything that someone posts but won't back up with a link when asked.  Post all the "leaked" pics that you want. but I don't believe for a second that those pics are from GT5 until you post proof or a link.  No offense against you personally, I've just been around here too long to get fooled like that.

first of all, the BMW has a chinese license plate. GT cars NEVER EVER have real license plates. if it was actually a car from GT5, the license plate would say BMW 745iL or something, not that stuff. second of all, the rx-8 is somewhat poorly modeled. the seams dont correctly match. and the proportions for both the BMW and rx-8 are way off.

No, you don't. I don't care who made those car models, it is absolutely better than anything you can accomplish. I know what rigors the GT development team go through to get one of their elaborate rendered car models. Notice the Japanese characters on one of the license plates. At least we know it's Japanese. And to call it fabricated is difficult, even though we have no idea what it is. It would help tremendously if the TC would give us some kind of an indication that they are indeed in-game car models, or in fact one of the background models like in GTHD, or perhaps do they belong to another game or CG source? This topic is ridiculous, sheerly because it's so ambiguous. What kind of an anonymous source are we talking here? A kind of "an anonymous source from Konami revealed Metal Gear Solid will be on the Xbox 360" kind of anonymous source?Redfingers

No,it's Chinese.  I would have to agree with vip3r666 that these pics are indeed fake.  I don't think the programmers at Polyphony Digital would put Chinese characters on their car models over the license plate with the model name/number, just my opinion though...  If it turns out these are real then, F**KIN A I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS GAME.

ok, lets compare for a second.

First Car (Evo VI from GT:HD in-game)

notice the smoothing on the tail lights. they used smoothing groups to save some polies and lighting processing power.

now lets look at the porsche

notice all the wasted polies on the wheel arch and around the headlights?? also notice the sharpness of the seams. apparently polyphony only chamfers their seams, while the author of the porsche adds extra edges to obtain a sharper look. polyphony wouldnt do that because it would be a random waste of 1000s of polys
