no point upgrading if u already have a psp...joeychewAgree , minus the ability to have the image on a real TV it's pointless, i'll be buying a second unit and give mine to my sister when it releases i have so many UMD movies be cool to watch them on TV.

beneath the face buttons. oh and hell has 2 l's not 3 btw
Im pretty sure that if they were to add another analog stick, it would change the way the games are played, and these new games wouldnt be able to be played on the old PSPsthe_man03
no they would just have an alternate control system like all the games released on the PS1 after they introduced the controller with analog sticks.

Yes but you're forgetting with the PS1, it was just a controller, so all you would have to do is get a new controller for liek $30 or whatever and you're good, with the PSP its a whole new system.
Alternate control methods can only get you so far, not to mention the installed fanbase (as w hole, many of us here would be happy to pony up) would be pissed.
This new one is rounder around the corners and the terminal for you earphones have been pushed closer to the centre to make sure it does'nt get in the way when you're playing. And some of you guys did'nt notice?
If you added another analog stick, older PSP FPS would be rendered obsolete with the revision of input methods. I mean like who would wanna buy a game that does'nt utilize new functions. Thats stupid.

have you even seen what a psp looks like in the inside. Yeah while its easy just to say put one under the face buttons, internally its not that easy. The analog stick its self under the face plate takes up some space.
http://gear.ign.com/articles/699/699145p1.html not sure if you can see it
see theres not much room under the faceplate or even around it, plus if there were to find a spot they would have to hook up various wires, etc. to make it work. Im not saying its impossible, but they would need more than a few months to complete. Plus they would have to find a place were its easy to use for most people, test it etc. Putting a new analog stick would delay the release probabley till next year.
[QUOTE="ironwarrior2"]That's just the current PSP, what are you people talking about?

both of you guys must be blind because you can tell a difference right away. First of all the speaker holes are at the top now, the side view shot shows how slim it is compared to the original and the back view certainly looks more like the DS Lite type of finish. It doesn't look all that different, so i'll stick with what i have for now. Battery life and slight faster loading times i can live with if i don't have those two.
