Resistance 2, because you will most likely like that game. If you like FPS you will like R2. If you like Platformers something innovated get LBP If you like the other Metal Gears get MGS4(I didn't really enjoy it) Action Adventure = Uncharted I have never played Heavenly Sword.
LBP. Thisll be the first game i play on my first console i get. Why? Becuase its different and im not just playing a regular game. Its unique and i feel proud to say the first game i played was LBP.
Get MGS4 and Resistance 2, MGS4 is arguably the best single player game on PS3 and probably the best single player experience this console gen so its a must buy. As for R2 the depth of the online is amazing and the single player more or less fills you in on any neccesary backstory so playing Fall of Man isn't required though R1 is a great game in its own right and really cheap now too (I picked it up $20 used a few months ago).
MGS4!, you can play it again and agani as many times as you want, you will never get bored, and then you have MGO!!!!! limitless amounts of fun. Little Big Planet is awesome too.
It depends on what you normally ply. I was a hardcore MSG fan thus I brought my PS3 because of MSG4. If you are looking for a game for plying with your mates then I would go for CoD4 or Resistance 2. If you are a driving fan then Burnout paradise or GT5-prologue (very cheap now).
