The portability factor appeals to me, but $250 doesn't, and niether does a sealed battery. Might get one though, still undecided, so I decided to wait until the end of the year, after it's been out a while.
meh. psp-3000 is still the better choice for me because it will play my old games on umd. and i think 16GB mem cards are getting a price drop some time soon.

He said 250 Quid which is slang for pounds sterling, the currency of the UK. That is about 400-500 US dollars. Just FYI. Either the guy is cracked or the price is going to be higher than anticipated.
I think he made a mistake... I mean I'd just get a ps3 instead.Personally to me it looks fine to hold, but beyond that it's pretty weird. I won't buy one either, I'm just not convinced that they're worth the money, and it feels like they're (sony) are abandoning the PSP normal franchise, something that I wouldn't like to see go away. And good games for the PSP have recently started to roll out amazingly fast, so I think the PSP Go is not too smart of a choice.

no it wont cost $400-500 dollars in the US. The only way an american would pay that kind money is if somebody from the US FLEW to the UK to buy the console. but thats just stupid. we will buy it here for $250 US dollars i bet you. Considering the PSP-3000 is $169 core, or 199 bundled, the $250 price makes sense because it has a HUGE storage capacity and its a new design. BUT honestly I would not buy a PSP go if my psp 2000 broke. How am I suppose to play my UMD games? I have only 1 digital game (Wipeout Pure) and it's not because i'm out of storage space, its because digital download games (other than ps1 titles) are just too expensive! For example, you could pay $15.99 for Ratchet and Clank Size matters, or buy it on umd for 1/2 the price used. Gangs of london is like $22 digital. I bought a NEW umd on amazon.com for $10. If you dont mind paying full price for EVERY psp game you get, sure a pspgo is a good idea, but most of us arent like that.
pspgo = fail
edit:
and yes he was correct on the pricing.....
amazon.co.uk says its on sale for 229.99 pounds
amazon.com says it's on sale for 248.99 dollars
