First The Orange Box Now UT3, What's Next?

Two big games that I've been waiting to get my hands on have both been delayed for the PS3, the only other game that I really want this Christmas for the ps3 is Uncharted, has this game been confirmed for a Christmas release? and is it possible that it could get delayed too? is there any other games that could get delayed? I just want to make sure because this has been happening alot lately and hopefully it wont happen again.

I wouldn't call UT3 a delay since they never gave a concrete release date, they gave a hopeful date. Also, Mark Rein at Epic has said they are working hard to get it out for the holidays but Epic won't release a game unless they are satisfied with it (which they shouldn't no matter how long it takes).

Is it possible that Uncharted won't come out in November? Of course it is. Before a game is announced as going Gold anything can happen. Delays happen...this is nothing new. It's just something that people like to highlight and make a big deal out of.

For me it was like this:

First Home gets delayed.

Then Stranglehold CE (I had it paid off in full and it was going to keep me busy until UT3/CoD4/Assassins Creed).

Then UT3 got delayed (cancelled my pre-order as a result and fully paid off both Assassins Creed CE and CoD4).

I swear to God, if they delay either CoD4 or Assassins I am going to sell my PS3 instantly. I already put it up on craigslist yesterday to see what sort of prices I would get. I've decided to hold ontomy PS3 until November.

why would you sell it because of a delay? the games are still coming out, just a little bit later. you would just want your ps3 back when they come out anyways

This has been a tough week for PS3 owners...especially me. The Orange Box and Unreal Tournament 3 are two of my most anticipated titles for 2007...now both are delayed. Thankfully The Orange Box should be out in December. I'm on a pretty limited budget so I'm limiting myself to one game per month (3) for the rest of the year. It will probably end up being Assassins Creed and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for November and The Orange Box for December.

I really hope that Uncharted turns out to be a fantastic game. It looks stunning and Naughty Dog has an excellent track record. If the game ends up being a 9.0+ caliber game, then it will be enough to satisfy my lofty standards for PS3 exclusives. I really hope Assassins Creed also isn't delayed.

Thank god for Warhawk though...the game is so freaking fun! Heavenly Sword was an excellent experience as well.

On UT3....

It's not definite that the game will be delayed until 2008. Here's what happend. The PS3 was going to launch in november alongside the PC version. The PS3 version would have had fewer maps due to its resources. Instead, they're going to take the extra time and make sure the PS3 has all the same maps and is able to get the mods from PC users before it launches the PS3 version which they hope to get pushed out by 2007.
