FML - Got killed in Resident Evil

Last week I had surgery so I have been gaming it pretty hard with the HD Resident Evil Remake which is probably one of my favorite games of all time. I have beat it several times trying to unlock all the trophies, but one of the harder trophies is giving me a lot of trouble. I was in the labs during Invisible Enemy mode and I just had to kill about 4 more Chimeras to clear out area of them. I shot one of them dead with my magnum and then there was one on the ceiling that I didn't know about... he scooped me up and insta killed me. Normally I wouldn't care, but on in this particular run I hadn't saved once. I am so disappointed in myself. FML!

That's rough, man. I had a similar experience trying to unlock Hunk/Tofu in RE2 back in the day. This was pre-internet, so we relied on gaming magazines to tell us how to unlock items and no two magazines seemed to agree on exactly how to unlock them. Some said a playthrough with no saves or First Aid sprays, others said less than 2 of each. Not wanting to take any chances, we played through with none. While walking around as slight caution, I got jump-slashed by a licker that hit me from offscreen that managed to instant kill me. This was a little bit after we got to the second CD in that scenario, so we were more than halfway through. It was a speed playthrough so it's not like I was hours and hours into the game, but it was probably an hour and a half of progress that was completely gone. Such is the nature of getting those awesome unlocks. :)

Forgive my ignorance... Does that mean you'd have to just listen for the enemies to kill them? Damn I could never do that lol. Is not saving once a trophy too, or?

I loved RE 1 and bought the hd rerelease but some of those trophies make me not even wanna try. Haven't gotten 10mins in yet. My inner completionist is telling me I'm not gonna platinum it so why bother. Oh well, I'll at least beat it eventually.

Just play that mode on easy, it makes that challenge a complete joke with the decrease enemies count and damage that they do to you.

Well you have to avoid most of the enemies and yes listening to them is a big part. Also, I was on easy, and almost finished with the game. I literally had 5 minutes left.

@koopa_kinte: Ha I just died again in the tunnels... without saving. I was breezing through it and I got stuck on the wall and smashed by the boulder. Awesome.

Hahaha I think the universe is trying to tell you to save or something. xD

@koopa_kinte: Yeah I am going to do another speed run without saving, but I am going to do it on Normal without being in invisible enemy mode. Then I will go back to invisible enemy mode and take my take with plently of saves :)
