Would be nice, because then I'd do more folding, if I can listen to music for example. Makes it less boring:P But to answer the question: I dont know, havent heard anything off it
Yeah, I hope eventually they add that as a feature because i would use it alot more if that was the case, I'm one of those people who likes when everything is off in my room whiloe im away, LOL
this is how i thought it was going to be originally, since they had said it would run on the systems "idle processing power." what that sounds like is you'll be able to do less power demanding activities while the program runs in the background (or even while your browsing a menu in a game). Hopefully they'll do it eventually.
I hope so too, but i read some where that around 30,000 PS3's are hooked up and make up 11% of total system linked up but make up over 68% of the totalprocessing power, some 220 tflops or something.
I dont think so. Folding uses the Cell processor up and im sure devs use up most of the power for games albeit not at 100% efficiency. By that i mean although devs havent yet scratched the surface of what the Cell processor can do their inefficient use of it means the Cell is working just as much to do less. Does that make sense? Perhaps Folding while watching a movie, Does that require processing power? I dont think so?
