[QUOTE="dok_dx"][QUOTE="luke1889"] Did you scare the spelling and grammar away? :PJust kidding, buddy. You're right; only the folk who've been affected know the true value of such research. Cancer claimed my grandfather and affected my mum also. :(

Not true. I know many people who are not affected by cancer that still care about the research to cure it. It's called empathy. But not everyone has empathy. As such I think anyone who has a PS3 and Internet connection that doesn't fold at least once should get cancer maybe that will change their minds a bit.
That sir is plain wrong! You shouldn't wish such a thing on anyone! I don't understand those either (even though I was never affected by it), but you should never wish someone to suffer just because you don't understand him or her
Listen, I know it sounds mean, but some people wouldn't understand unless they are affected by it, just like what the person stated above (and I'm sorry about your mum), which I don't completely agree with. I work with people everyday (I'm in finance) and let me tell you, some people needs to suffer in order to understand empathy at all. When you work for rich selfish, self-centered people that look down on everyone else (some of the things they say about poor people); Trust Me, wishing they had cancer is the least you could do to them.
