lol cammon man, the ps3 doesnt use alot of electricity, atleast use folding at home for 2-3hours a day & the point is to find cures for diseases & cancer just as wut mav said, I feel that it is right because my dad died from cancer & im sure no one wants to lose their parents to a disease that could have been cured just by leaving your PS3 on to donate time even if it's 1 hour everyday.
about 57, im on my 58 i think, usually i keep it on for a whole week, to do my folding, and next i wont have it on much, instead play games on it, then turn it off, let the big beauty sleep alil , waiting for METAL GEAR 4, ohhh i know id be up for a month striaght playing that game lol

oh i forgot to tell you guys as confirmed in PSMs magazine June 2007 "The research team (Standford) worked out a method in which the PS3 could process a work unit in 8 hours, thus allowing the system to berun safely overnight, so that the console could be used for gaming and entertainment during the day. It's worth mentioning, however, that the PS3 can be safely left on 24/7 without issue (tested both at Stanford University and our own labs at PSM), so you can fold your heart out."
i hope that helps for everyone worried about leaving their PS3 on.
