lol cammon man, the ps3 doesnt use alot of electricity, atleast use folding at home for 2-3hours a day & the point is to find cures for diseases & cancer just as wut mav said, I feel that it is right because my dad died from cancer & im sure no one wants to lose their parents to a disease that could have been cured just by leaving your PS3 on to donate time even if it's 1 hour everyday.

you should see an estimated time, and estimated time to finish, is your percentage going up at all, b/c your stats don't really change until you complete one in full, usually about 8 hrs.

oh i forgot to tell you guys as confirmed in PSMs magazine June 2007 "The research team (Standford) worked out a method in which the PS3 could process a work unit in 8 hours, thus allowing the system to berun safely overnight, so that the console could be used for gaming and entertainment during the day. It's worth mentioning, however, that the PS3 can be safely left on 24/7 without issue (tested both at Stanford University and our own labs at PSM), so you can fold your heart out."

i hope that helps for everyone worried about leaving their PS3 on.

I have a question. I heard that if you don't finish a work unit within two days, it doesnt count because they give it to someone else. Is this true?

wow man im really sorry about that, my dad was recently diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer, he went through alot of kemo and radiation but its now on his liver so he may be taking part in a clinical study for an untested drug... this may sound a bit messed up but its good to know that im not the only person who has to live through something like this but i am truly sorry for your loss
