Was thinking of ordering Valkyria Chronicles and a few other things online.

Usually what time of day do the packages arrive?

And if nobody is home at the time, do they leave it in your mailbox or do they come back another day?

I think the time of day your package comes will depend on where you live, but when I order from Amazon it comes UPS at about 3pm and if I'm not home they leave in my mailbox or inside the screen door on my porch.

I'm guessing as long as it isn't wide in the open for everyone to see then it would be fine I guess. Same thing applies for things left in mailboxes.

Thanks for the info, I'm gonna go order now. :D

That's a definite probability... I think you can specify under shipping options though if you want to sign for your package or not. So if your worried about theft you can sign for your package if your not home; otherwise, they'll just hold it for you until the next business day. I have a couple dogs and live in a pretty friendly neighborhood, so I don't worry about it too much.

Depends on where you live really.... If you have a few bucks to spare you can even pay for overnight shipping and what not I believe...although I've never opted for that option (I'm cheap lol) It should arrive on the day they say it will arrive. I've had some orders come earlier and some come later but meh...nothing on the extreme end. You can even get order numbers which you can use to track your shipment most of the time so look out for those. My personal rule when it comes to ordering online is "Only order it online if you can't find it in stores near you" So I'd recommend you do the same. :P

EDIT:

I should also add that when I order, whoever delivers tends to come at my doorstep and make sure he/she hands it to me...if I'm not there or its a small item they usually just place it in my mail box....if its a large object and you're not there they normally leave a note for you explaining where you can pick and the time period you have to pick it. If you pass that period of time I think you have to pay a certain fee.

Well Valkyria Chronicles is rare (I live in Vancouver). I've only seen it at 2 Best Buys out of all the video game retail stores I've been to. They still have some in stock but its like $64.99 to $69.99 while Amazon has it brand new at $49.99.

Finished placing my order, should be ariving 4-7 days.

Yeah, I've got a German Shepherd and a Rottweiler, so I wouldn't worry too much either, but I was just thinking that some peoples could get robbed if they left it right in front of your door, and people can see it through the screen

Amazon is one of my favorite places to order games from. Even the free shipping option arrives pretty fast. Amazon is awesome with the free shipping, no tax, and usually good deals they have on games.

Definitely get VC from Amazon if you can.

yeah vc is an awesome game i wanted to buy it new but it was on avaible so i had to get it used scratch free but.. and i won't pay 60 bucks for games even if its like ff13, and it doesnt have trophies. I mean thats a dumb reason not to pay 60 bucks for it but i feel like sega could of done a simple trophies patch like bioshock and it was release in nov.

Just to let you know I edited my original post with a more detailed description of my personal experiences with deliveries. =) Good choice on getting Valkyria chronicles by the way. Its a great and unique game.
