its funny... because your just screwin yourself if u buy a PS3 for the games you just mentioned... all of those cept warhawk will come out for the 360 and gta IV is simultaneous release... the PS3 will have a bad framerare and not really worth it as opposed to what the 360 gives.... well this is my opinion... you waste what you wastecopper_ore
maybe you should learn before posting.
1. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Warhawk are PS3 exclusive
2. Oblivion is better on the PS3(this is a fact)
3. Virtual Fighter 5 is currently exclusive to the PS3
4. Mecenaries 2 was designed for the PS3, therefore, it will be either equal or better than the 360's version.
please run back to the 360 forum with your tail between your legs.
oblivion has better graphics, includes knights of the nine, and has better framerates on the ps3 though, and remember, i dont kno for sure, i mite get a 360 elite, still cant decidedsan224
I personally believe that my PS3 was worth every red cent! If you are not sure that you are going to get a PS3, wait until after E3. If you are impressed by what Sony is offering then you know which console you should get. On the other hand, if Sony doesn't show something that you wantand MS does, go with them. Either way you fill your needs.

I absolutely love my PS3 because it is a fantastic piece of hardware with some really great games coming out in the future. I had originally planned to only buy a PS3, but I knew Gears of War would be a great game so I gave in and bought a 360 as well. If I had to buy one and only one, I'd get the PS3 simply for the fact that I have grown up on Sony Playstation consoles. Getting a Blu-Ray player is also a REALLY NICE bonus. I'll be sure to make more use of that feature when movies like 300 and Spiderman 3 are released on Blu-Ray. Right now, I think Blu-Ray movies are a bit overpriced. That, and the fact that Microsoft hardware is pretty crappy in general. Thankfully, mine has only broken down once and was repaired for free.
It looks like this generation is going to be pretty evenly split between the two consoles. Obvliously for third party multiplatform releases I'll choose the system with the better graphics, control scheme, framerate, online, etc. I'll wait until Home is released to issue my final judgement on Sony's online service. As far as I'm concerned, it works great. And it's free. If Half Life 2: Orange Box and Army of Two play well online for PS3, then I won't bother renewing my subscription to Xbox Live.
A lot boils down to controllers for me though...I have every intention of buying all the Fight Night games on the 360 because I think the controller works really well with the game. Same way I intend on buying GTA: IV for PS3. I could care less about Episodic Content that I'm going to have to pay for anyways...Maybe it's me, GTA feels just right with a Playstation controller.
u bet. PS III is the future gaming platform, you have to get it. Even though the best games (GTA IV, Assassin Creed, Killzone II) still need to come out and HDTV is still too expensive, it's the best buy in the market. WII is for small kids and PS III will quickly surpass XBOX 360's quality of games. You have to remenber that the best PS II games came years after it's release.

Well Maybe its because i bought my ps3 three days ago and initial excitment is at a high... or maybe its because i am one of those people who are actually having a FRICKEN BRILLIANT experience! Fanboyism aside, i am thoroughly enjoying my purchase and my ps3 is taking center stage in my family room, complete with plasma tv and surround sound and boy oh boy, have i missed out or what! magnificant... i guess you can guess what i choose on your poll. HELL YES
Are there any one else out there who feel the same way as me? or am i alone in this new generation of extreme coolness?... :(
Unfortunately for the PS3, the launch games were crappy and they still don't have much to offer besides the best blu-ray on the market for the cheapest price. However, because of the superior technology that the processor has and the ability of blu-ray discs to hold incredible amounts of data, game developers will be able to make revolutionary games (as expected they won't be out for 1-2 years after launch). Just as the WII is revolutionary with its control style, the PS3 will revolutionize the way games are played with content and incredible visuals. If you look at the upcoming games for the PS3 there is a potential of 5-10 blockbuster games being released between fall '07 and summer '08. On top of these games, PS3 gives you streaming media content and dozens of other features that can't be discussed in a short post. PS3 is worth every penny (and a lot more) if you know anything about digital hardware. The technology featured in the WII and XBox360 will be outdated in about a year (now for the WII), but the PS3 is so advanced that its power has yet to be tapped into. When the PS3 is still reigning supreme over Microsoft and Ninentdo's NEXT gen (after WII and 360) Sony will be laughing in the faces of everyone who questioned their strategy.
I have 2 things to say to anyone who thinks this system is overpriced. Ignoring 90% of the PS3 functionality:
1) Cheapest Blu-Ray (soon victor over HD-DVD) player on the market
2)iPhone = $500 or $600 and does virtually nothing compared to the PS3...you do the math
Do I think it was worth it? Of course I do.
The biggest complaint seems to beaboutthe lack of good games but I've played my PS3 a ton.
Blast Factor. Lemmings. Flow. GTHD Concept. Go! Suduko. Go! Puzzle. Mortal Kombat II, Rampage World Tour. Calling All Cars. Super Stardust HD. Resistance: Fall of Man. Oblivion. TH Project 8. Blazing Angels. Motorstorm. Virtua Fighter 5. Call of Duty 3. Spider-man 3. No wait Spider-man 3 sucked, nevermind. and now Ninja Gaiden Sigma!
Me thinks there are plenty of good games.
