Im tired of this crap could someone please post some screenshots of playstation 3 games running on a standard television AND TO GAMESPOT IF THE MAJORITY OF AMERICA STILL HAS STANDARD TELEVISIONS WHY CANT WE GET SOME SCREENSHOTS IN STANDARD DEFINITION PLEASE IT IS THE LOGICAL THING TO DO YOU KNOW

SD is fine butnothing like HD. Comparing SDto HD is pointless.

First of all ps3 is released for countires other than america. Maybe like france, britain, canada and japan. Also here in canada almost everyone has a hd tv now a days. So who cares about america and their tv problems (no offence to anyone).

Now that was uncalled for. It's not my fault our president is ... I didn't vote for him and I have never supported him which is the same for at least half the people in this country (remember we're lucky if 50% of the population votes, so election numbers do not reflect everyone in this countries' support. In fact I would say most the people over here are so sick of the BS that politicians give us, they feel it makes no difference who gets elected.) And you forget the economic state this country is in. People are so afraid of the socialist liberals that they fight progress with all their might and the only things that ever seem to get more powerful is the Industrial Military Complex, the oil companies, and the companies that move all our labor outside the US to make an extra buck. In other words the rich are getting richer. Meanwhile the average joe is making less disposable income based on inflation and cost of living. Its kinda hard to care about anything else than money when your working 10 plus hours a day at 8 bucks an hour in the service industry and barely are able to feed your children. Whose gonna buy an HD TV for over a grand when they need food? nobody. If anyone falls into your categorization of the US it's the 5% of the riches americans.

And yes, while I agree there is no comparison between HD and SD, it would be good to know that the graphics on SD are getting better as well as HD. The way things are now one would think that in order to actually experience the new graphical prowess of this generation of games one must own an HD TV. However the graphics are getting better on SD as well (even if they can't compare) and I think SD users would like to know that they aren't being forced to watch last gen graphics just because they don't have the right TV. They are getting better, but you wouldn't know it for all the HD hype.

Good point, but I was thinking after the game releases people like gamespot, or even the developers could come out and say something about the SD at least, or show that the graphics on an SD TV aren't offensively hard on the eyes. Something like, "While we are definitely impressed with the graphics on the HD for ... game, the SD isn't exactly bad and we have posted a few screens from a Standard television for those curious about the comparison." You know, let people actually look at the games and make an informed decision about the worth HD and SD repectively.

We have never claimed that the website have it´s roots in US of A, what we say is that it´s not a American-Exclusive site.

Nowhere in the TOS does it say that it´s only for Americans, which some people seem to believe.

My monitor and graphic card have some years on the neck, but surprise, I´m running them in the exact same resolution as 720p. And it suppports the same resolution as 1080p.
