for those doubting MGS4 raings....pls take a look

most of u guys probably know some of these ratings, but im sick and tired of hearing all this s*it that people are saying after some "game" came out, u kno what i mean. come on now....well anyways, this thread isn't about that other game anyways, i just want u guys to know that im really confident in MGS4's rating...heres a look from the past, ENJOY!

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (PSP) 9.0
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2) 8.7
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2) 9.6
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (PS2) 9.0
Metal Gear Acid (PSP) 8.2
Metal Gear Solid (PS) 8.5
Metal Gear Acid 2 (PSP) 8.2
Metal Gear Solid (GBC) 9.4
Metal Gear Solid Integral (PS) 9.0

this isn't the FULL list of metal gear games, but its the core of the franchise. i mean come on 5/9 got 9.0 or over on gamespot, so what makespeople think that MGS4 is gonna get anything under 8.5? im going out on a limb and saying that this is going to be the best metal gear game when it comes out. besides, in the end the ratings aren't gonna matter, it all depends on YOU whether u like the game or not....yaaaa diiiig. later fellas

i never said MGS4 is gonna get a 10 dude, im just saying that it will get a GOOD/REALLY GOODrating, and most likely nothing under 8.5 on these videogame websites, it's pretty hard to say that it will......dont u think?

well, i believe that all those ratings imentioned are pretty good speculation on what mgs4 will get in terms of rating, regardless of any reviewer, biased or not.

but i guess it could just be me.

i think if the new gameplay system is better then the previous ones it will get a 9.5 to not irritate the sony fanbase which goes to this site, Most people would most likely stop coming here if they are that strong of a fanboy and i doubt GS wants that and besides the MG series has a way better story then the other"game" and this one looks like its going to have more twist then all of them combined.

You cant mention mgs3 and mgs3 subsistance if you dont mention mgs2 subsistance which got a 7.5 because GS is biased because they gave the same game on the xbox an 8.7. And you forgot MGS for the ps1 which i honestly think deserves atleast a 9.9 or 9.8 but what did GS give it? a 8.5 while every toher review is a 9.0 and above. GS is full of themselves and im pretty sure most of their staff are loyal fans to the 360 not that it bothers me. What bothers me are the annoying fanboys at school and online.

You know below the "superb" category there is a "great" and "good" listing right? Whats wrong with those games? KH2 and Rogue Galaxy got 8.7 and 8.0 and they're both amazing games, they're not crap.

Anyways, I also am quite confident MGS4 will get either 9.0 or 9.5. Just not 10 cuz GS doesn't give that score anymore. Just look at the franchise people, even the worse games in the series got 8.0 and 8.2. I'm talking about metal gear acid, those two games are crap! And look, even they got a "great" listing.

if mgs4 gets anything lower than a 9 ill cry! halo 3 is the big xbox game and it got a 9.5 if mgs4 8.5 that means its not good and that the ps3's biggest game isnt as good asthe big xbox game and there will be trolls all over the place.

i may have to sell my ps3 and go into hiding if mgs4 gets a bad rating. hopefully the person who rates it will be the person who played and rated the other games.

People seem to forget that a rating is just a critics opinion....

I plan to buy MGS4 no matter what the rating on Gamespot happens to be.

If I payed $600 for a ps3, I would hate any game on another console that out-scores the entire lineup on my console as well.

My toughts exactly.

It's like, if a game so much fun, with such a deep story and with such replayabilty such as MGS3 got a 8.5, what deserves a 9?

Same goes with MGS for the PS. It was so incredible at the time, it is up there with FF7 and Zelda: OOC in the ranking of legendary games that set standards of quality in the industry in the years to come.

So curious I was to see how a landmark received that note, I went to the review itself and the headline is "Once you know exactly what to do and skip as much plot as possible, you can run through the game in three hours or less."

I mean, jeez, what kind of **** is this? There are resident evil games that you can finish in an hour if you are fast enough and skip everything, most games can be finished quickly if you played through them 10 times already or "once you know exactly what to do".

Really, this is not a matter of opinion, it's plain bad reviewing.
