oh haha. Any problems with it? One review said it made it run a lil slower, but that was only one, and many other people said it works great.

Alright well this definitely looks like an option i will be greatly looking into. I mean i still have about 39 gigs left on my ps3 right now but i know i'll get a bunch more stuff on there as time goes on. And extra space is always welcomefreham2001
love your sig dude
I am glad the PS3's hdd is so easily upgradeable. I bought the 120 GB hdd for my Xbox 360. $180 = ouch!!
I've been thinking on doing this, but I don't want to screw up my PS3, can you go to like, Best Buy or something and have this done professionally, with insurance?vegetattack15
I bought myself a 120 gig HDD... and i bought the wrong one. ...hurray. Careful which one you buy.
Anybody want a standard 120 gig notebook HDD? :D
And no - It doesnt void your warranty.
Also- If you want the carbon data, you need to go buy an external USB 60 gig HDD. then to a "backup utility" onto it... since you cant directly copy the data onto a memory stick...
Hey I was wondering, with changing out your HD will that not void the SONY 1 yeare Warantee on it? Just curious, cause I thought it said that if any parts were changed out, that they would not replace your PS3. Does anyone know this for sure?pacomontoya
changing hddwont void your warranty there is a ''how to change hdd'' in the manual
for TC you have to backup your game saves, music, movies, pics
you dont have to backup your system settings, profiles, login etc those are saved in the system itself not on your hdd...
if you have a sata laptop hdd you just pop it in and bam it ask you to format it after that you are ready to go
