Are you satisfied with the graphics ? Or they just look as if you're playing PS2.5 ?

I mean all these talks about hi-resolution pixel porn ... what about those who don't own HDTV's ? Are developers taking these into consideration ?

I looks good but there is a big difference. I took it round a friends house and was amazed at how much better rfom looked in HD. Motorstorm too. At the end of the day it's like 4 times the number of pixels so it's gonna make a difference. As soon as i have the cash, im gona get me a Bravia 1080p :)

It still looks good on a normal TV. Definitely better than PS2.

I only got resistance: fall of man so I can't speak as of yet to be perfectly honest, I look for gameplay other then graphics, if gameplay owns it's a must game graphics are just to make it seem realistic.

It's not a massacre to play it on SDTV as some would say, but it is true that the console is "designed" for HD.  It can be a little hard on the eyes reading stuff on a standard tv screen.  Graphics are more than good, they're great, on HD, they're mindblowing (you've seen screens right?).

Got to play SDTV for 3 months, now I'm enjoying HD and I do not intend to go back :)

Playing the PS3 on a standard TV sucks!!  You can hardly read any text and the graphics blow!!  I finally got an HDTV and it is a thousand times better!!  It truly is a crime to let all that PS3 power be wasted on a standard television!!!

There is no point in getting a PS3 if you only have a SDTV... you are also paying for that BluRay drive which sole purpose is to play HD content. If you buy a PS3 and have a SDTV, you just blew 6 bills for something you won't ever take advantage of. Get a HDTV first, then a "next gen" console.

They don't need to take SDTV owners into consideration. The only thing they have to do is make their games scalable from 480i to higher definitions.

It's about time to get rid of SDTVs, it's a next-generation console, SDTV's are LAST generation. They don't need to accomodate them imo.

Games look fine on an SDTV, but if you'll only be able to play on an SDTV then whatever you do, DON'T try it out on an HDTV unless you plan on buying one. The picture is much more crisp and clear and it's hard to go back to SD after playing in HD.

My HDTV broke a couple months ago (the lcd died) and for the week while i was waiting for a warranty replacement, I played on my old 27" sdtv. Wow, what a difference. To me it was almost unbearable, just because I had been playing in HD since the day i got it. Obviously better than ps2, but the problem is, its harder to tell that its better than ps2 just because the image is so much fuzzier,.
