hi guyzz i have played infamoud on a SD TV not HD and the graphics are reaaaaaaaaallly bad soooo bad as am playing a game on playstation 2... anyone noticed that too ???
i am playing the demo right now on a hd lcd monitor and i have a hdmi cord from my ps3 to monitor and i think the graphics look good. Its nothing like killzone 2 but its nothing like a ps2 game at all. Plus i dont think this game is meant for the graphics you know it is meant for the storyline, the fun gameplay, and blowing things up!
It looks superb. Not all textures are top notch but lightings fantastic, animations are - mostly - good but the best bit is the electrical effects. I don't get what people see bad in it... maybe there just graphic whores?
The graphics are great. The textures aren't all super detailed and there are some glitches, plus the character animations suck, but overall it looks nice. Far from PS2 quality.
yah but with a score of 9(gamespot review score) you gonna expect more ....anyways still i didnot try to play it on HD but with a sdtv am fully disappointed with the graphics and even the stroyline is not that exciting....with a smiliar review scores like BIOSHOCK the storyline in my opinion was great and i think infamous is away off that standard....its more like DARKNESS

How can you judge the storyline without having played the entire story?

He was simply saying that games should be more about gameplay than graphics which is the case with Infamous. The graphics are to be expected with an open world game with zero load times. They are still pretty darn nice looking with excellent lighting effects. I see nothing wrong with the graphics, and I also agree that the TC is exagerating a bit much. Anyway, Dude said nothing about all good games having bad graphics and all that. Don't read more than you actually see. He just basically said that gameplay should take priority over graphics. Thankfully, for Infamous... it did. ;)
What I like about infamous is that they took more time about game depth and story than graphics. I'd rather have a game that is enjoyable than having great graphics. Thanks Sony :)
today i have played it on HDTV and let me tell you HUGEEEE DIFFERENCE....Cant even be compared,,,,its the first time to notice a huge difference in a game when u played it on a sdtv than a HD one.... i have reached now that last city and unfortuantely the story is still under my expectation + side missions and even the story missions are some how repeatitive ... bosses are cool.
I played the demo and thought the graphics were OK, though not anything special. My problem with the demo was that it looked like it'd get old really fast, just like Crackdown did for me. So I figured I'd wait a little while -- maybe 6 months -- and if it didn't contract Assassin's Creed syndrome (where everyone thinks it's GOTY for a few weeks and then a year later everyone's bashing it) then maybe I'll think about picking it up.
