great exclusives, great featured, sony fanboy, anmy 360 broke twice and i got fed-up. im very happy and have no problems with my ps3, in fact, im actually pretty lucky
hey thats great!!! i am playing LBP and its awesome!!! :) cant wait for Killzone 2, i dont know if i would like it, cause a got a PSP and i play Killzone Liberation and its so cool, but killzone 2 its first person shooter, and i am most likely to watch my character like in MGS4
honestly, the Bluray. any cross console games, i will get for the 360, but the PS3 has Bluray, and some of the exclusive games are too good not to play!

I couldn't pass up on MGS4 even if It ever comes to 360. Metal Gear is my all time favorite series. I can't miss out on any of them. I'm just glad there are other fantastic games on the PS3.
I thought it was the best time to get a PS3 for myself when MGS4 was goin to be released. Once I found out that there would be a bundle, I immediately made sure I had enough money to gte it and I am happy that I did. Great releases like GTA4 and LBP which I own are also in my collection. Can't wait till next year in february to pick up KILLZONE 2.
My Motherboard only supports VGA GPUs which makes upgrading much, much harder. So I decided to get a console for multiplat games. The PS3 has the best hardware so it'll probably last longer than the others, it has free online, Blu-Ray and better exclusives compared to the 360 whose games end up on the PC 6 months later with more features.
I bought it for the multi-media functionality, built in wifi, blu ray, and various game series that were traditionally PS1/PS2 or originally announced as PS3 exclusives. Assassin's Creed, FF13, and DMC4 being a few examples of said games that have seen gone to or been announced for 360... bastards -_-
I wouldn't care if a game is announced as multiplatform if they don't pull a Square Enix and go "Oh its a PS3 exclusive" like they did with FF13 on like 50 seperate occasions.
They were nixing the backwards compatibility and my PS2 was dying. Shortly after, my 360 RROD'ed and then my replacement was busted so I said screw that and now play PS3 almost exclusively... which is fine because I was kindof a Sony fanboy to begin with, particularly now that Nintendo kinda sold out anyone who was a longtime supporter of them in favor of the fairweather trend-addicts.

totally agree with u!! mgs4, lbp resistance.... and of course the blu ray.... like he said any cross platform I'll be gettin' it for the 360...
2 REASONS...first because i wanted the exclusives, and 2nd i had all the next gen-consoles except the playstation 3 so i wanted to complete my collection...
I got mine for christmas too. Thanks Santa! I wanted the PS3 because of the HDMI, WiFi, free online and the games, MGS4, GTA4, Resistance 2, Motor Storm PR and KillZone 2
I bought mine at launch because I knew the PS3 would have the most exclusives that I wanted to play by far. That hasn't changed. Things like Blu-ray and WiFi were gravy.
I was thinking about the xbox 360 first then I realised that Microsoft sucks and that the Playstation 3 is going to last longer due to the games not using it to it's full capasity. And there are lots of cool games, coolest LBP.
I purchased my PS3 after my third RROD on the Xbox 360. I liked its 80g and BC. It has not failed me once and its library of games are getting better. I liked getting a Blu-ray player to boot. It was more expensive but it has been worth it and I really like free online gaming and the Playstation store. You made a good decision and hope you enjoy it as much as I am.
I did some solid research and everything pointed towards getting the ps3. ITs a solid unit with little hiccups. Sony know how to make a good piece of equipment. THe games that were to come out knocked the block off anything exclusive to the xbox (although at the time of purchase none of these were released). Being a blue ray player as well as having an easily expandable hard drive its also the ideal media centre for my room. Tonnes of downloaded movies stored on it.
Games, im a huge rpg fan ( a let down rpg fan wtf sony) and the blu-ray is a plus, but i do everything on this machine movies, music, games, internet.Trick933
It's pretty much a rule of mine that I buy every console, and the PS3 was not going to be an exception. I do this because all consoles offer something that enhances my gaming experience, and being the type of gamer that I am, I'm not going to miss out.

Same here. So far I have 48 Blu Ray movies and 3 games (Wipeout HD, Little Big Planet and Uncharted).
