MAG hasn't really impressed me yet. I'm in the beta but the Uncharted Multi has been taking up more of my time, it's just more fun. It doesn't matter though because it's not coming out this year.

I think MW2 will win because of it's popularity, but I also think thatFlashPoint will be the sleeping giant of 09 shooters!!!
Well we know Modern Warfare 2 is going to be good, great even, but I think it would win only because of popularity and the customers trust in its reliability as a good game. Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising looks impressive so far, but I really don't have enough knowledge on the game to know for sure. Borderlands is definitely unique and has totally epic potential, but it is different from most other shooters besides Fallout 3. I think between those two Borderlands would win since it seems to be taking everything up a whole new level, though I have to say I'm 50/50 with the art scheme. It looks interesting, but in my opinion I would think I'd prefer something a little more realistic. So graphics wise I am without reproach or praise. All around, an amazing looking game with an interesting twist and epic potential. Unfortunately, I can't remember what other shooters came out this year, but I believe that one of the newer titles will be taking the trophy. Borderlands could very well take it for both FPS and western style RPG's, but that is only an assumption. Regardless of whichever game takes the title, Borderlands is definitely gunna score high on both genres. All three of these titles look really good, and other ones such as Aliens: Colonial Marines, but I will be holding out for next year's FPS's in highest anticipation. MAG looks like it is going be interesting, and if they can fix the graphics I think it is going to be hard to beat, despite its online only exclusivity. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 looks like its gunna put most every other FPS to shame, and if it came out this year I would say it would win hands down, no competition. Unfortunately its not coming out till early next year, but the other titles look very promising regardless. I think the title will go to one of the three, aforementioned games spoken about earlier; Call of Duty MW2 with its reliable and well placed popularity, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising for its (unknown to me, but still doubtlessly high) potential, or Borderlands for its unique and vast, and highly anticipated gaming experience which, I would have to predict, will either land it in first or third, with the other two ahead or trailing closely behind.
Well COD cant be FPS of the year becuase its COD, one of the worst FPS's

Actually I have the same opinion. I think CoD could be good, but they allow the cheapest things ever in an online shooter in the game. Also CoD4 andWawcampaign are garbage IMO

It's gonna be MW2. a game that hits top sales lists on pre-orders alone. come on it's no competition. The other FPS's will just be speed bumps on its road to victory
There is no way that Killzone 2 will beat out Modern Warfare 2. Call of Duty is such a big name in fps, I mean, most other fps games look at Call of Duty as the backbone for all other first person shooters.
I agree, since Call of Duty is the game that Killzone 2 and every other FPS models itself after. I am being sarcastic when I say agree just so ya know.
