how do you do it? i've been in free for all's with 8 and as many a 18 how do you do it?

i apologize for not mentioning the game it mw2 and the glitch is something i do not know when you only allowed to have 8 people in a free for all and i have joined some that have 12 and a many a 18 and it's not private and it's not a mosh pit and i looked it up on google and i wa told it wa a glitch and i just want to know how to do it.
