hey i got fallout 3 the other day and since i started playing it my ps3 has been freeking alot just wondering if this is happening to anyone else????nugget_21
Freeking? I have yet to have it freeze on me ..
I've got like 24 hours into the game and it has only hard frozen once (where I had to power down and back up)bwrector
I'm about the same length into the game and had two freezing issued. Both occurred when leaving one area and entering another. That little load clock just stops. However, it has always been right by an autosave point anyway.
Also, I haven't experienced any of the many glaring bugs or glitches GS claims the game has. And Fallout is certianly proving to be far less buggy than Oblivion was.

I'm about 30 hrs in and I have had 2 freezes. One was a load freeze when I was loading a save, and the other one was as I was just walking around. Had to powercycle both times as opposed to Oblivion which had the same issues but more. I had no problem completing Oblivion and Still logged over 300 hrs on it. I don't mind putting up with a few bugs in Fallout it's too good to let that get in the way.
it only on some games i'm playing borderland at the min and its happened a far bit on that as well but it has only lasted a few seconds each time
Make sure the disc is clean. Use window cleaner and a paper towel.

Are you a tard?
Never use paper towels on any kind of disc or window cleaner. Use a disc cleaning cloth or an eyeglasses cleaning cloth, and use a spray thats meant for cleaning discs. It would be wise to treat the 60$ disc with proper care.
I've played fallout 3 for quite some time, and it freezes about 1/3 times I play it. It's usually when Im walking around the wasteland or entering an area that requires a load.

I use a luke-warm soapy water with a microfibre cloth. I use Fairy Washing Up Liquid, at a ratio of 1 part fairy to around 20 parts water.[QUOTE="patriots7672"]

bumping an old thread just to call him a tard?

My game keeps locking up when ever I get close to rockopolis, just wondering if this is happening to anyone else and if so how did you fix itUndeadArmy1372
I had a game killzone as well (after installing Point Lookout the first time). At one point, it was Rivet City. After reinstalling everything, it became the Alexandria Arms area (that wobbling guy that dies after dialog was standing in front of the building)
I also found that the game only froze after I had finished the main story. And if left for a few minutes it will sometimes un-freeze itself.Near the end of the game (main storyline) my game started to freeze ALOT (enough to make me powercycle).
Sometimes when you hit a huge freeze spike you can let it sit for a few minutes (...sometimes up to ten) and the game will unfreeze.

Yeah, unfortunately, the developer's didn't work too hard on the framerate, which ultimately causes the game to freeze more frequently than you'd expect. Really annoying.
In an effort to finally out this thread to rest (it's over TWO years old) I will state two things:
1)Fallout 3 has a nasty habit of freezing on all systems, PS3 included. Why it does it more on one PS3of the same kind and less on another is probably a mystery science will never solve :).
2)if you have a slim PS3 (like I do) expect older games like Fallout 3, oblivion, Assassin's creed 1 and others to freeze when they may not on older systems. This is especially true for old games on the platinum label, and of those AC1 is probably the most irritating.
Core Fallout 3 froze on my one time in 30 hours of playtime. Maybe I'm one of the lucky people but I haven't experienced majority of the problems with the game.
On the other hand however, the DLC for Fallout 3 is really not good in technical terms, it's laggy and frame-rates drop often and in low numbers. At least they do for me.
Fallout 3 on its own, I have little to no problems, it runs and plays great.
it's now 4yrs since the original post & guess what, this game still freezes & crashes like a muthafukka. 2-3 times per hr 4 me. the last time i went thru a door & the ps3 just reset 2 the xmb. how f**king annoying is that. (",)B1GGR4Ywell, something which wasnt fixed 4 years ago doessnt fix itself even if you wait another 4 years :D
