I recently moved my PS3 into my living room, and when I turned it on the initial screen is very snowy. However, when I play games or movies it works fine.. I am confused that only the discs work. Anyone else experience similar??

Using a different TV? Maybe you should change the resolution or something?

Yea the display changes when it goes into a game "to whatever that game is." Im not sure what the PS3 main screen is, but mine switches for every game. Mess around with the Check boxes in display settings. Like it will say 1080p "only system that will say that lol" 1080i. 720p, and a list goes down to 480. Check only that which the TV can do. Or re check them and see what you get.

The main scren will display at the highest res you have the PS3 set to as long as the tv supports it.
