G4 is stupid to me they are just a bunch of noobs that trash talk about gamesflip13lolb
G4 reviews have gotten better and in-deph as time has progressed with the studio. However, the Mass Effect and Assassins Creed reviews seemed quiet "biased" if you ask me. Meh...
I've been debating as to whether of not I should get a PSP. I've done alot of research of the system and despite the newly announced features (skype, blu-ray, ps-one games, etc), I just cannot see myself getting one at the moment. There are not enough games to warrant a PSP purchase and thats the sad truth.Cry0TekAre you serious?
Am I the only one who thinks this is ridiculous?! Look at the huge numbers the PSP sold during Christmas, there are a lot of really good games for the PSP. Some of them aren't available anywhere else, Jeanne, MGA, MGS PO, Daxter, Star Wars Renegade Squadron . I could go on and there is going to be a God of War title soon as well as Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core. So why again is the system loosing it's popularity as far as games go?
On G4 the other day they were talkin about how sales of PSP software is so low its not even on the charts. The PSP IS great for alot of things and i use it to its full capibilities but they made it sound like nobody plays PSP games and that the feature to play games might as well be obsolete. What do you PSP owners think of this? Personally I love PSP games.SURFERBOY313
Well I agree partially with the statement. Everyone knoes the real reason behind the low PSP software sales... *cough*homebrew*cough*. I believe it's multimedia capabilities are great and if new features are constantly being added then it shouldn't affect it's gaming division because we could use those multimedia capabilities in the games. So therefore Sony shouldn't be blamed for adding multimedia capabilities, the developers should because their the one making the games and not taking advantage of its full potential. And the PSP IS a multimedia device, the DS is not (well unless you hack:|) so there's a difference. I've never considered the PSP a gaming device even though that is mostly what I use it for.
I said it before the PSP even launched and I'll say it again.. PSP needs an original killer ap..J-link
QFT! Screw ports and PS1 games. Let's see some original stuff.
[QUOTE="VSmack"]People who want a good handheld gaming platform get the DS. People who want movies and an mp3 player would do better to pick a PSP.
That's aload of c***! The DS has way more c***y games than the PSP. In my eyes the DS is still a gameboy color with it's lame Mario games that should have come out back in the NES era. The PSP is a grown up handheld. God Of War Chains of Olympus will and should be the blue print in how portable games should be made.
AYFS? I love my PSP. It is my primary gaming console(I also have PS3). I have 22 games and will never be bored of this thing! There are so many games I still want.
And to the kid claiming that DS would smash PSP is it were only a gaming device-------------what you have is an opinion. A really lame opinion! If the PSP only played games and did nothing else I would definitely choose it over the DS. Some people love simple cartoony touch screen games and others prefer a portable PS2 experience......its all a matter of taste.
I only just got my PSP and am absolutely loving it - cant stop playing. I have a load of great games and cant see why i would stop
I contemplated the DS but compared the game catalogue to the PSP and for me the PSP won hands down. My nephew also had a DS and PSP and for me i would play the DS for 5 minutes ... but the novelty wore off quickly.
For me the PSP is a better machine and cant see why it wont have a few more years at least
I have a psp and a ds and i have to say the Ds demolished the psp last year
but look at this years line up star ocean ff fighting ff cc GO of War KOH Star Wars fforced uleashed on the psp has exclusive content Patapon
This is going to be the year for the PSP according to me
really are we really going to start taking what G$ says to heart .... with the massive crop of games that just released this past year I cant see why anybody is finding it hard to find something to play on the PSP. Syphonfilter: Logan's Shadow, Jeanne D'arc, warhammer 40k, Crush, Socom Tactical Strike, Metal Gear Solid PO, Beats, Medal of Honor 2, Dead Head Fred, Manhunt 2, are some on the new original titles to come out for the PSP and more are on the way of 2008 Pursuit Force 2, God of War Chains of Olypums, FF Dissisia, FF Crisis Core, Star War Force Unleased, Wild Arms XF, Patapoon, Wipeout Pulse and who know what else is going to be announced at GDC or E3 it hard to readly give G4 comment any real credit.
Sure software sales arent setting records but that has more to do with some cheap gamers running iso's (Homebrew is cool but using it to run illegal games is wrong) than the selection of great game available.
