I personally own the 60GB model with the Emotion engine but people don't understand what game emulation can do for last gen games. With emulation, the software can further increase the graphics potential and clarity of PSone and ps2 games. I hope they add a firmware update that will allow users to choose software emulation or EE. If any of you have used emulators for SNES games or whatnot you know what i'm talking about. Whereas with the EE, it plays the game exactly how it would be on the PSone/PS2 plus with the amount of firmware updates the PS3 gets im sure more and more games will be compatible. Too bad no one talks about the pros of emulation. But everyone is quick to point out an 85% compatibility rate (which is still awesome) just my 2 cents
I agree that emulation isn't as bad as people make it seem, BUT...would you rather have 85% compatibility or 99% compatibility? Using an emulator is not going to make the games look much better. It's not going to make PS2 source material look like PS3 stuff. I would just rather run my games off of hardware rather than an emulator. It's just my opinion.
