Hello everyone, I would like to know your opinions about what game I should buy. Doing some research on the web, I found those three at the top of almost every list. Right now I only have money and time for a single game. These are some of my characteristics as a player:

- I do not consider myself a gamer. The only games I’ve played in the last few years are the Arkham games because I am a huge fan of Batman (my favorite is Arkham City, the last one overused the batmobile).

-I have no idea what the witcher franchise is about. I vaguely associate it with fantasy, magic or that sort of stuff, which I am not a big fan of, although I enjoyed Chrono Trigger immensely many years ago.

-I played Vice city a long time ago, liked it a lot but never finished it. I am not interested in multiplayer features.

-The only thing I know about the last of us is that it’s a game about zombies. I think that theme is getting old, but that does not mean I would not enjoy it; I played the telltale game of the walking dead and liked it (only the part with Lee).

Do you have any other suggestions for a guy who has only played one game in a console? (Arkham Knight)

Hmm. Based on your topic I would suggest The Last of Us. While the zombies theme might be getting old, the enemies in the game are not what I would call "zombies" There are similarities but there are quite a few differences. To play the game is to experience the story and see the struggles main characters goes through every day in the world gone mad.

Since you liked the Telltales "Walking Dead" you will probably enjoy it.

That would be my suggestion.

GTA gives the hole gaming experience from the three above...they're all great games i have to say. i would recommend you another direction : Bloodborne. evil never was so fun and stirring. but from all three above if you have to choose just one GTA no doubt.

@juseuc: I would suggest The Last of Us. The Witcher 3 and GTA V are both huge investments that take a lot of time to complete. They both are fantastic and I would recommend picking them up in the future, but go with the Last of Us for now because it's incredible.

Hello,

I only played The Last of Us and GTA5 and hesitating to get The Witcher 3, because of the reason you mentioned (have read the first novel though), I would strongly suggest getting The Last of Us or maybe even another straight forward game, where you don't have to invest many many hours before getting to the conclusion.

On the other hand I think you should maybe listen to your heart. Which setting you like the best for example.

I have or had all 3 games. I sold the witcher 3. Its a great game don't get me wrong, but It just is too much of a investment for me. I put like 30 hours into and realized I didn't even put a dent into it.

GTA is fun and the multiplayer will keep you coming back.

The last of us has a incredible story and a suprising multiplayer. I would suggest you get this game.

Thank you all for your responses, from them I understand then that The last of us is a straightforward game unlike witcher and gta. I don't mind a game having a lot of side missions though.

GTA gives the hole gaming experience from the three above...they're all great games i have to say. i would recommend you another direction : Bloodborne. evil never was so fun and stirring. but from all three above if you have to choose just one GTA no doubt.

I've heard good things about that game also. Looks like it's going to be a tough decision, but it's okay, I'm not in a hurry.

I made a descision and got Witcher 3 last Saturday. It's a great game, I'm enjoying it almost as much as I enjoyed Chrono Trigger. But I'm only getting started. My current objective is to find some mage in a dark cave with the help of a witch. I am not sure what the best ways to level up and earn money are though. I will get GTA 5 and The last of Us eventually; maybe sometime next year.

Last of Us is not about zombies. But of those 3, The Witcher is the most solid game.

If you don't want to invest a lot of time right away then go LoU first then either of the other two. Saying that, you're in good hands either way. In fact why not grab LoU and one of the others? LoU may be a nice break from one of the other two :)

Edit: Yep late.
