Game Suggestions for Birthday Gift?!

My boyfriend's birthday is quickly approaching and I would like to buy him a few PS3 games as a gift - the problem is, not being very into video games myself, I have no idea what qualifies as a "good" game.

Games he already has are: Socom Confrontation, Rainbow Six Vegas, Grand Theft Auto IV, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, Motor Storm, Rockband, Fight Night Round 3, Assassin's Creed, Madden NFL 07

Can anyone suggest some games he might like, based on the list above?

Call of Duty World at War (out 7 November World War II first person shooter)

Dead Space (already out survival-horror)

Far Cry 2 (already out first person shooter)

Motor Storm Pacific Rift

Basing on the list, he doesn't seem to be into action games that much, Rock Band 2 would be a great idea, he already has the kit and the sequel offers tons of songs and a karaoke style gameplay in No Fail mode. Music is always a good choice ;)
