we all know that when it comes to making games based on movies, the results aren't so good. My question is if that any of you actually enjoyed a game based on a movie

What was so great about it that made it so popular?

maybe a little over exaggeration (for some lol).. it was just an amazing game all around, but i am sure if you ask around where goldeneye 64 stacks on people all time favorite games list, it will be near the top on almost all the lists (depending on if they remember is from the 90's, people usually always make lists for recent games).. gameplay, AI, controls, graphics, just everything it excelled it had no one part that was half done.. amazing multiplayer and level design.. GREAT now i have to go hook up my N64 lol.. the story take it or leave it i enjoyed it, but i was like 11 years old then back in 1997.. the game was just an instant classic.. put mario or donkey kong country (first games popped into my head lol) in your system it just doesn't matter how old it is or you.. FUN is FUN! lol[QUOTE="Scianix-Black"][QUOTE="NaughtyRag"] yeah i got a playstation, 2 years before the ps2 was released.. goldeneye was the game that kept my interest in games, it was just too good.. yeah i hate when people say mgs4 was the greatest game ever.. it doesn't even rank in the top 20 of MY all time favorite games.. but anyways go play goldeneye 64 lol such a tragedy to know that someone didn't experience it lol... I just might have to try and pick up a 64 and give this one a go, or possibly steal my friend's old one
Thanks for the tip.

just remember 1997, don't expect to be blown away after playing this generations games.. but if you can think back to the late '90s, you can really see the accomplishment of the game and why it was loved by so many..can anyone still remember the "terminator 2" game , i think it was even before pentium in the good old 486 days :D
i played it round my friends house its ok. only reason it was so popular is because it was the first real FPS game that got made into a real 3D game. with mutiple ways to kill and split creen made it popular well thats what i think.Am I the only one here who didn't play Goldeneye?

Batman Begins for the PS2
OO7 Quantum of Solace for the PS3 and Xbox360
So we can all approve that James Bond Games are awesome except for NightfireGoldeneye, I enjoyed 007 Nightfire, and I have heard good things about Quantum of Solace, might try it out one day
I think " chronicles of riddick" is the best game based on a movie franchise
I played it on the xbox an looking forward to the remake that is coming this march as a multi platform game
Best movie based game by far. I'm also looking forward to dark athena. Can't wait.[QUOTE="NaughtyRag"][QUOTE="Scianix-Black"]holy crap are you series go buy a N64 and pick up the game.. when people say mgs4 is greatest game ever, i think ha YEAH RIGHT. goldeneye is a lot better...Am I the only one here who didn't play Goldeneye?

don't bother unless you're gonna get 4 controllers and play it with a bunch of friends.. while it is a "good" game, its highly over rated...Please Log In to post.
