can you guys give me some games that have a very high replay value?

i'm talking about games that can offer you the same gameplay but with mostly different approaches/situations everytime

games like Disgaea, the NBA 2K games, StarCraft, or simple arcade games like Tetris or Sudoku.

i just want a fun game to play. and please don't say Skyrim or ME3. for some people, those games' "replay value" is more of like "repetitive" for people like me.

i just want a gameplay-centric, high-replay value game. doesn't matter what year they were released on.

Valkyria Chronicles. Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection (has a whole bunch of great, high-replay-value games. Snake Eater and Peace Walker particularly)

You can also include Battlefield and COD.

Infamous series is good. Its open world environment plus his powers give you many ways to approach the game. Ratchet and Clank series because there is so many weapons to choose from. A Crack in Time added a space exploration element. Heavenly Sword - i couldnt stop playing the demo so i finally got it. Tons of combos and different ways to play...awesome graphics Motorstorm series - never the same mayhem twice. Uncharted series has a lot of different weapons and styles to go through. Little Big Planet...you wont find more variety in a game. Any game with a good multiplayer...COD, Killzone 2, MAG, Uncharted, Motorstorm, GT5, LBP

Yakuza 4:

  • 4 unique playable characters.
  • Many many side quests.
  • Sandbox environment.
  • Fantastic brawler action.
  • Lots of great mini games like Karaoke, fishing, bowling...

But the game is in Japanese with subtitles which may or may not put you off but it's one of the most fun games I have played ever.

recent games i don't really know of any, especially since no games contain new game plus anymore.. Deus ex has replay value but only if u use the hack computer glitch trick to get a sh!t load of praxis kits which takes hours.. game designers these days just don't seem to care about replay value anymore, friend of mine told me its cause they want u to keep buying games, if there's replay value then your gonna keep playing and not spend more money.. its sad.

Borderlands offers new game +, an option to have your enemies at a higher level the 2nd time you play through, HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of guns, 4 awesome characters to play as and DLC that's actually worth buying (assuming one doesn't get the GOTY edition)

You can try...

Angry Birds - you get a lot of levels for a small price.

Binary Domain - the Terminator game I've seen waiting for my entire life. The online is quite fun, it's got a nice survival mode where you and others take on wave after wave of robots. Shooting a robots legs off and having them crawl toward you never gets old.

Blokus - cheap but great puzzle game you can play by youself, with friends or against others online.

Hustle Kings - great pool game.

Pinball Arcade - four good tables for ten bucks with the promise of more available as DLC later on.

Pinball Hall of Fame - The Williams Collection - an even better value for your money pinball game with 13 tables - might be hard to find but worth it

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 Masters Collectors Edition - EA lets you play the game to earn coins to unlock and download extra courses. I've played it since launch and still not bored of it.

The only game that had that replay value for me on a console was Rainbow Six Vegas 2, something about terrorist hunt that makes the game playable for hours. Terrorist hunt is a game mode where you kill ai bots using a variety of weapons and tactics, 4 player coop to (not sure if anyone still plays it online though).

I think the guy that said sports games was extremly right!

there is a lot of games out there... but sometimes when i finished the story mode im pretty much done, maybe play it again 1 or 2 times more...

but with sports games... it takes foreveeeeeeeeeeeeeeer hahahaha so you get a lottt of hours for your game.

like PES or FIFA i guess, i played PES 2011 and i have at least 100hrs... probably way more anyways...

but if you dont like sports games... i would say Demons souls or something like that :D

I think Killzone 2 has replay value. I always try to get all the hidden intel in FPS campaign modes if they are interesting enough, and KZ2 is that interesting.

Online shooters, sports, racing, I liked that free playstation home thing ps3 has. I liked playing chess and bowl against other people.

Batman Arkham City offers nearly endless gameplay with it's campaign, side missions, riddler puzzles, point based combat challenges, time and objective based stealth challenges, and multiple different characters to play as. All of it is at top tier quality too.
