In your opinion what're the games with the highest replay value on the PS3? I just ordered my first PS3 and have a Gamefly account so I'll be using that to rent the 10-15 hour single player games and will purchase games with good multiplayer and high replayability. Thanks!

MGS4 is my favorite game of all time, and only available on PS3. I've played through it seven times. I highly recommend it for its story and MGO.

As for multiplayer, hit up that Game of the Year Edition LBP.

Sports games like NBA2k10 and MLB09 the Show. They both have similar career modes that have you play as only your player. You control your guy and the rest of the team does their part on their own, rather than having you control everyone. That way you're playing with theteam rather than as the team. After about 9-10 months, I still have fun playing MLB09 the Show trying to get my closer in the AAA minor league called up to the Major league. I've had NBA2k10 for a few weeks now and it's the game I played the most at the moment. The great thing about sports games is that they never end, it's just a matter of how long it takes for you to get bored of it.

But if you want a game that has a long single player story, try looking into some JRPGs. I know there aren't too many on the PS3 right now, but on the PS2 I would recommend Tales of the Abyss or Tales of Legendia. Those easily take over 50 hours to complete.

GTAIV is also a fairly long game, about 30 hours I would guess on average to complete.

I love NBA2k10. I just don't have it.. Sports games do provide a lot of replay value especially if they have a lot of different modes. I don't know if you're looking into sports games though. Uncharted 2's a good choice. or RPG's like Fallout 3 and such.

Is that because of the multiplayer, or is the single player worth playing through multiple times? And can you comment a bit on how good the multiplayer is? Thanks!!

As for sports games, I will be getting MLB '10 The Show for sure. Don't see much reason to get 09 right now when the new one is right around the corner.

The single player is definitely worht playing multiple times.There arehidden treasures throughout each and every chapter. The different difficulty modes + great story pull you in as well (you get trophies throughout and if you beat it on Crushing, stuff like that). You'd think Multiplayer was just tacked on since the first one didn't have it, but it's actually pretty good. Many different modes with unique maps and objectives. There are also online cooperative missions

If you are into RPG's, definitely checkout Dragon Age: Origins. The game has multiple races, classes and stories that will keep you occupied for hundreds of hours guranteed.

@carebear26

I really recommend Uncharted 2. I bought the steelbook edition for £45 and I have to say that is an amazing game. It has already won many game of the year awards just based upon sheer quality. However it is not just quality because there is quantity aswell. So far I have had it for a few weeks and my gameplay time is 70 hours offline and online. I have spent most of this time in single player getting the platinum trophy. There is a hell of a lot of replay value here with the treasures to collect and all the really cool bonuses and tweaks to the game. The online is also amazing with amazing online battles in the most amazingly detailed environments ever. However much you spend to buy this game, you will always remember it.
