GAMESPOT MOVES PS3 TAB -- Again!

So the PS3 used to be first after the PC tab, but they changed that awhile back and swapped the X360 with the PS3 tab.

Now they've done it again. Pushing PS3 further back and moving Wii a position ahead. This is obviously not based on sales, since the DS is last on the list. I believe this is the order in which GameSpot prefers their platforms.

Another thing. What is up with GameSpot's graphics comparisons. Why do they handicap the PS3? Why didn't they pit the Elite HDMI 360 against the HDMI PS3? Eurogamer did an accurate comparison allowing 1080P and HDMI and PS3 came out on top with all games.

We decided to take a look by directly comparing 360 and PS3 versions of the same game, capturing full 24-bit RGB shots and video from each system's best-performing AV output: HDMI from the PS3, and VGA from 360. And this in itself gave the Sony console an immediate advantage. While the difference between analogue and digital on a typical consumer display is difficult to spot, our equipment showed that colour reproduction and basic definition of the image were superior thanks to the pure digital output of the Sony console. There was also zero interference to the signal - the 360's VGA output wasn't so pure, and performance degraded a little at the 1080p top-end. Isolating the video cable as much as we could helped to keep this to a minimum. You probably wouldn't be able to tell any difference at all on the average flatscreen, but we would have definitely liked to do these tests using the much-rumoured HDMI-equipped 360 supposedly due in May."

yeah, none of my recorded mouse click macros are working now! just kidding. they probably just wanted to keep all the sony products together and if they had the PS3 near the front it would appear gamespot favored sony. no big deal to me.

*edit: but seriously... yeah, that comparison blowed. shouldve gone with both consoles using HDMI connections as you mentioned. Then the real comparison between the machines could be seen. that comparison was lame... and I'm not a fanboyI have and love both consoles.

And the TC is right. Twice gamespot sets up their comparison to favor the 360. The overly bright and washed out PS3 images are PROOF that they messed with the display settings. My PS3 at home doesn't look anything like that.

Wow bitter much...anyways i could honestly careless that they dont include the hdmi cable seeing as how you can find cheap ones that work great. And no they were not judged evenly seeing as how the ps3 does not look that washed out.

Surely the tabs are now in a logical order.

Ie keeping all the Sony Ps3, Ps2, PSP together makes sense to me.

Ps2 is still selling, Xbox isn't. Duh.

ps3 is at the end cause it has to be next to the ps2 tab, wii is in front of ps3 cause those first 4 tabs are all the current gen systems, ps2 is a last gen system hence its at the end forcing ps3 with it, psp and ds are handhelds, which are always at the end, again psp grouped with other sony product.

It still doesn't make sense why are xbox 360 and Wii ahead of PS products? Ok i can understand that they want to have them together(PS products) but than why isnt it like this!? PC - PS3 - PS2 - PSP - DS - Wii - XBOX 360 You have to admit that mine looks better and makes more sense. Part of the "sense" is that letters "W" and "X" shouldnt be ahead of "P", especially if you already have "P"(PC) as first on list.

Like i said it doesnt make sense.

DS needs to group with psp they are both handhelds

as for xbox bieng before wii, its gamespot what do u expect. also pc and xbox are probably a group also

Why give our system a handicap just because the 360 can't output using HDMI...without upgrading to "Elite."
