i feel the reviewer has harshly criticized of what i think is the greatest standalone DLC ever.

even though it is short i feel it is one of the creepiest dlc's ever.

i really cant understand gamespot's reviewing system they give good games like timeshift 6/10 and average games like just cause 2 higher

I think what the reviewer had in mind when he reviewed it was the fact that Heavy Rain had some absolutely huge plot holes that were hard to dismiss when finishing the game, and that the Taxidermist was an excellent chance to redeem the story, but it was wasted. That said, I do think it was rather harsh to rate it 5/10, at the very least I would have given it a 7/10.

I just don't think Heavy Rain was suited for DLC at all and the taxidermist is reflective of that. As a standalone episode, it has absolutely no ties to the plot, offers not a lot new things and is simply too short to warrant its price. It's also hard to really attach a number to such a small, short piece of DLC in the first place.

I felt that the developers should have included this DLC with the main story when we start playing as Madison I think it would have made the story even more exciting, I bought it played it and it was too short.
