Yeah, thats what I am thinking as well.

I was a bit wishi washi when I first heard the news I honestly hope this is true. I am starting to believe it. I had a feeling it would happen. Sony's Blu Ray player dropped from $999 to $799 and then @ best buy they had it for $599.

PS3 could use a price cut then the PS3 will keep its exclusives. Ps3 might be pretty hard to come buy. the Wii is a BUNDLE with extra controller , games, and a charger stand

That Wii price is not incorrect. Gamestop.com only sells Wii bundles, and that is the price they go for.

Clearly Sony won't drop the PS3 price by $200, that's really steep. I think it either was a typo or just done purposefully to bring attention to their site but who knows.gamer082009

I'm beginning to wonder if this wasn't just an accidental leak. I've was reading that someone was talking to a manager at circuit city about how they got a memo about a price drop like this at the end of July. It probably is just a rumor but who knows. Guess we wait till E3.
