GameStop Trade-In for PS3

I have:

Xbox 360 arcade console (with 256 MB internal memory and HDMI)

20GB HDD

Wireless network adapter

Two wireless controllers

One wireless guitar controller

Rock Band 1 and 2

Soul Calibur 4

I know GameStop is a joke when it comes to just about anything, but I've had this on Craigslist for a while now and I don't want to use Ebay. Would all of this even come close to getting me a PS3 at GameStop??

I tried. I called them earlier today and asked and they said I'd have to bring everything in so they can look at it first. He said they don't give trade-in prices over the phone.

Sadly, I don't think it would.

Rock Band(s) and Soul Calibur are not exactly super rare or wanted games.

If you need help, trade in a Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Last I checked, they gave you 35 dollars for that one game.

Nothing really for the games the controller like $15, WiFI $25, Console $65-70(PS3 20gb only gets $150)

First of all, I have to wonder why you're trading in your 360 to get a PS3? They've pretty much got the same games. There's not much on the PS3 that really differentiates it from the 360. I have both consoles, and I can't possibly see why you would rip yourself off in this fashion, unless you really really want to play the few worthwhile exclusives that the PS3 has. Do more research before you take the leap and trade-in the 360.

Anyway on topic, my guess is that you wouldn't even be close. GameStop rips you off hard when you trade in games, even when they have that 33% more credit for trade-ins "deal". Weak.

Gamestop/EB trade ins are always a rip-off so I really think hard before trading in.. I asked them how much for Xbox 360 w/ 120gb hdd. Total of 110$.. 50$ for the console alone...

Also on EB, you can trade for a PS3 Slim. All you need is any Fat PS3 console plus 2 games at least ???$ (i forgot the amount) and 50$ more and you can get yourself a brand new PS3 slim. Rip off in my opinion...

u all say that gamestop rips u off. go buy a new car drive it for 2 years and then trade it in they dont give u what u still owe on the car they give u alot less. So why would Gamestop give u alot for a used console? i wouldnt pay more then 50% for a used if i was gamestop. cuz i need need to make profit so i turn a 25% profit on the system. Now i do agree that sometimes there trade in values seem uber low but how else can a company make money.g3toutj00
